I threw this in with an order on a whim. It just caught my eye. I didn't even know it had an internal battery until I received it.Our home has 4 generations under one roof, and my wife ultimately ordered 4 more: one for the kids' room, one for grandma, one for her sister, and one for herself. The family uses these as portable night lights simply and honestly because they are more fun than a cellphone light! I just don't know what it is about these things. They do feel sort of warm and magical when you're carrying it to the bathroom in the middle of the night.Only con is that my kids tore the paper in their light within a few days, but I mean they are kids and this is made of paper. If anything, it was my wife's fault! :D

This lamp is so unique and would make a great gift. The light is muted so it's not glaring and the ability to change colors is very fun. It's a great addition to my library!

My son added various lights to his bedroom to make it his haven. This was a gift from his sister that he absolutely loves. He has the smaller book and it really give his room an soft ambiance he likes.

Bought the mini size. I once interacted with a similar product irl which stayed fixed at whatever angle the user opened the "book" to, so I incorrectly assumed this one would be the same. I would have been happy if it could at least sit open 180 degrees on its own (as nearly every photo of this item shows it), but this simply isn't possible unless you put it on a magnetic surface (and I'm pretty sure most people's night stands and bed sheets aren't magnetic). Unless you open it 360 degrees and connect the two covers together (thereby making it no longer recognizable as a book), it simply closes back up on itself. Pointless. I'm returning.

overall, amazing quality for the price, the light moderately bright and works well,a couple of small issues thothe book doesnt lay flat, you would have to use the double sided tape to get it to lay flat, which isnt a huge issue.the much more annoying issue is the color is not controllable, you have to open it 7 times to get to the color you want, as it cycles through presetsfor my purposes however it works great, i have it set up on my bookshelf, plugged in, i dont close it so the color thing doesnt matter.

I purchased one earlier and thought it such a cute gift that I ordered another as a gift. The second one split down the middle as soon as I opened it. Unfixable and not returnable. Very disappointing. I'm expecting the first one, also a gift, to fail in the same way. Complete waste of money!
