Works Well!
We picked this up at the recommendation of a friend who has kept chickens for a while and wanted something to be able to move them around the yard. We put our chickens who were just a couple of weeks old outside in it so they could see the "Big Chickens" (8 weeks old) in action. Worked well for allowing different age flocks to interact without encroaching on each others' space. Chicken poo is no joke, but this rinsed clean without hardly any scrubbing on the worst spots. We have even used this indoors, putting a vinyl tablecloth under it to catch the poo. Best fix for that is a twin sized fitted sheet with clothespins and then the vinyl tablecloth. Liked it well enough we bought a 2nd one now that we have 3 different ages of chickens that need to meet!

Not bad
This was a great purchase for my baby chicks! I would have given it 5 starts but one of the corners ripped fairly easy when I was staking it into the ground.

Keeps chicks safe
This is a really good product. Easy to set up and I love the location of the zippers. I used it for 10 baby chicks to start their play time in my yard before they were moved outside permanently. Portability was definitely a bonus. My daughter loved it too and purchased one for her chicks. Plan on storing and reusing for next batch of chicks.

Rips Easy
Nice size & a good enclosure in theory, but tears very easy and my chicks kept finding areas to escape. Unless you have perfectly flat ground, can set it up once and not touch it & add extra stakes to keep it down - I wouldn’t recommend this for your chicks.

Nice Product for Keeping Chicks Separate
This is my second playpen and I have used them both for similar reasons. The first one was used to keep tiny (adult) bantams separate from larger chickens and I am now using it to keep four-week-old guinea keets and also a few chicks away from larger fowl. I have it set up inside my run because it is not predator-proof. I would say it does discourage hawks and crows during the day, but everyone goes into the coop at night. I have boards and bricks holding it down around the inside edges so that chicks cannot squeeze out. Yesterday a chick actually got IN from the outside so I did some rearranging to keep the pen perimeter pressed down on the shavings. This is the most inexpensive way to acclimate chicks/birds to the outdoors and to the rest of the flock. It pops right up and if using it on the ground as I did with the first one, the stakes are fairly secure. I have always used it in an enclosed run or a fenced area. With a few tweaks, this little playpen serves the purpose for which I bought it.

Not safe or secure for animals.
I bought this for two young ducklings. First of all, the ribbons used to hook the stakes into the ground are very cheap. When mild wind blew through, three of the ribbons ripped in half. Even before they ripped, this pen could not keep two small ducklings in. They could easily lift up one side and walk right under, since the material is so flimsy. Nice concept, but not secure. I wouldn’t trust this pen to keep any kind of critter safely contained.

Worked perfectly for my chickens!
With negative 6 degree temperatures coming, I needed something inexpensive, effective and that could ship quickly. This product completely met my expectation and surpassed it. The description was accurate and met my need for a temporary shelter for my chickens to put on my porch short-term until the freezing temperatures passed by. I laid vinyl lined disposable tablecloths underneath each pet pen as well as some cardboard and then poured in pine shavings. A farmer would laugh at me, but these girls are my pets... who happen to provide me with wonderful eggs! Anyone looking to purchase these pens for a similar purpose as I'm using them for should know that I secured them on three sides with heavy objects to help keep them in place.

Great concept - poor quality
Great idea to have something light and portable, but several of my straps broke off and I had a couple of chicks escape. I can fold up spring floats that have wire in them, but I couldn’t get this pen to fold up to save my life. Ended up returning.
