The big brand name version is Bala Bangles and their limited edition glitter color is called "Shine." In this brand, the glitter color is called "Colorful."These are a generic knock-off of Bala for about half the price. I like the variation of shape these have, triangle instead of the rectangular shape of the Bala Bangles. These weight bricks are not as tall, which means they're not grinding against my ankle bone as much. They also have a longer length on the Velcro. (The real Bala are too tight around my ankles.)I'm purchasing three pairs of these in order to make two heavier pairs which fit better. It is easy to move the weights on and off the Velcro.They come as 1 lb weights on each wrist, which is four pairs of triangles. To fit my ankles, I transferred two additional pairs of triangles for a total of six. That's 1.5 lb per ankle, 3lb total. The Velcro still is long enough to handle it.For my wrists, I plan to have five pairs of triangles for 1.25 lb. I would like to remove the Velcro closure altogether and just sew the elastic closed. (The Velcro is a threat to nice, comfy athleisure wear.) Then I can slip the stretchy bangles right over my hand.A word of warning: be sure to move slowly and deliberately while you are wearing these. They can cause injury to your tendons if you start swinging your extremities around willy-nilly.

These are perfect for wrists. For ankles they should probably be a little longer to go around both ankle and thick sock. I am 5’7” and 160 lbs. These will fit over my ankles but really need some cushioning to make them comfortable. They would barely fit on me over a sock.

I wore these for a week and still wasn't sold. They're really not comfortable on bare skin and those of us in the south definitely have bare legs in the summer. Then I thought to turn them "inside out", keeping the velcro on top, away from my skin. Worked like a charm!

If there is no patent on the Bala Design, then others can come out and compete in a market that is normally using sand for wrist weights. I did buy the Bala Brand and returned. I waited months to see if I would try again. The velcro was awful and the weights did not move freely around wrist bone etc. to be comfortable for walking. These definitely do the trick! Velcro is much stronger and well made. Once the triple digit heat is over, these are my permanent go to without breaking the bank.

Initially, I was excited by the fact that the individual pieces can be removed making the total weight of them adjustable. However, these are not easy to put on and get snug with one hand. I tried to work past that but also found them to slide around on the wrist. I returned the product.

I ordered the 2 lb model. When it arrived, I was a little disappointed that each wrist weight was one pound and not two. But I think that's on me, so I won't dock any stars.I've been wearing these for my regular arm workouts, and they're great for increasing the resistance.I also like to wear it when I do my chores, so any household task turns into an arm-toning workout.They're great quality and they don't slip around or knock against my wrists.

I cannot stop raving about this product to everyone. I have been wearing this to yoga and pilates; omfg, I feel fabulous. You will not regret getting these. Get these if you want to burn extra calories, even just walking. It works so well!
