What a great curtain rod! Wish I knew about this a while ago
At first I was skeptical as this curtain rod seems rather expensive. But then I got it and saw how easy it works out great it looks and while it's well worth the price! If you're using it to the full length that you can use it you will need a friend or neighbor to come help you hold one end as you attach it. But other than that it is super simple to put up. It is also not blowing at all in the center and looks amazing.

Perfect for cinder block windows!
At last there's finally a curtain rod to put up over those annoying cinder block windows! Because we're renting, we've had no way to drill holes into that stupid cinder block to put up blackout curtains for our baby. And if you know cinder block, you know that nothing sticks to it either, so after months of trying out combinations of Command strips and hooks that would suddenly fall down after a couple of weeks, we decided to give this curtain rod a shot. And it WORKED!I was afraid it was going to be one of those stupid twist rods in the middle that I can barely move once there are curtains on it and that dig up the wall paint once you try to install. Instead this was a nice set-up with easy instructions to hold it in place and twist just one nice knob on the end. I got it up, down (to readjust the curtain grommets), and up again by my weak postpartum self in about 5 minutes. And it hasn't fallen off in the 3 months since we got it! Plus it looks like the nice, modern polished curtain rod we wanted instead some cheap one from the 90s.Definitely recommend if you're in an apartment or renting - and especially if you have to work around stupid cinder block walls!Update: 1 year later, and these haven't fallen down once! Still giving them 5 stars!

Unfortunately Doesn't Hold Up
I was able to get the rod up with the curtains to hang and remain in place overnight; however, it continued to fall six times in a few hours and no matter how much effort I put in, the rod couldn't stay up. I tried this morning to hang it lower considering it's just me putting up the rod and I couldn't tighten it enough in a position where my arms were above my head. The screws provided are tiny and wouldn't hold up an ant and the depth of where my window in relation to the corners used, I couldn't use the middle extension. I give up. I'm exhausted trying to get this rod to go up and stay up. It's probably easier to staple the curtains into the wall.

so convenient!
This curtain rod is the best invention. I hate having to hang curtains, but it is especially irritating to put holes in the wall in a rental. These are the perfect way to elevate your look by having curtains without the work. Install took a couple minutes max and it is holding well! great purchase!

Pain to install but works
So rating this as a 4 for now as it's only been up for about a week, but will change if it proves to actually stay up longer than my previous method of trying to use command hooks (which have only lasted about a month before falling). That said, a few key issues I had regarding this:* I ordered new, but I'm pretty sure they sent me a used one. Case in point, they sent the box in a larger box but the original, smaller box still had part of a shipping label on it. The rod also showed some wear and tear.* This thing is a pain to install, partly because the instructions are unclear. For instance, it tells you to take the left knob off to put the curtains on, but that sucker would not come off at all. It's the right knob that will though.* the sticker labels are on wrong. It tells you to twist one way to loosen or lengthen, another way to tighten/make shorter, but turns out I had to do the opposite to actually get it to do so* because you obviously have to put the curtains on first before putting the rod up, if you have a long window frame this is a pain to do solo, especially if you have heavy, blackout curtains on it while you're trying to keep pressure on the left side to tighten the right. If you can, get a second person to help.* the ends stick out about 5 inches so you need that much clearance between the window frame and sides. Unfortunately that means I could only use this rod on one window (as the other is too close to another wall)In all, I probably spent 30 mins from unboxing to fighting it, tossing the instructions aside after figuring out the left knob wouldn't come off, and finally getting it to work by ignoring the labels on the rod to get it up. Once I actually got it up though, it appears to be stable and lets the curtains move freely. We'll see if it fares better than the command hooks.
