Great belt!
The fit is perfection, definitely made from high quality material, good looking buckle, and super simple to assemble. I love the minimalist design it goes with just about anything I wear. I don’t leave the house without this belt on.

Great Product and a Better Way to Wear a Belt
This is my second purchase of the Anson Belt and Buckle. The first one I purchased lasted a long time (roughly three years). I only had to replace it because I lost one of the pins which secured two of the pieces together (had I found it, it would have been an easy fix. Note: this was the only time a pin came loose). The leather is high quality and will keep its form and color. The metal buckle does not scratch easily and keeps its shine for years. There are several benefits to this belt:1. Ease of use. It is an incredibly easy belt to put on and take off once you get the hang of the locking mechanism. I would say that it is easier than putting on a traditional belt with holes.2. Quick adjustment. Feeling uncomfortable after a big meal, or in a rush and didn't quite put the belt on correctly? Adjustments can be made discretely and quickly.3. The leather keeps. In a traditional belt, the leather will often degrade around the holes or the buckle will cut into the leather at the hinge. There is very little to no chance of this happening with the Anson belt. The leather will look good throughout its use.I highly recommend this belt.

Anson Belts are the best and excellent customer service
My closet hooks were supporting a bunch of belts that I have purchased over the years. I was losing weight so I had to constantly add extra holes to make adjustments. Also these supposedly leather belts began to peel and crack. They ok to wear with jeans and work Chinos but not good to be worn with a suit or dress pants. So when I was recently invited to a hootsy tootsy affair I needed a sharp looking belt that I could easily adjust. I decided to get a ratchet belt. After looking at a bunch of reviews on Amazon (I usually look at the one star reviews first) I decided to go with Anson. I bought the 1.25 black belt with a silver buckle and it worked great. No more holes, easy to adjust and so sharp looking. I was so please that I ordered two more of the 1.5 size a black belt with a black buckle and a brown belt with a gold buckle. The buckles are interchangeable. So I can just buy additional buckles or belts if I want a different look! The belts are real leather and the buckles work like a charm. I love to hear that clicking sound. The only problem that I experienced was that the two additional orders were delivered on Halloween Night and left on the porch by USPS so some tricker treaters stole the package. I contacted Anson and informed them the the belts were stolen. A representative contacted me via Facebook chat and told me that they would ship me a replacement, True to his word two days later the order arrived safe and sound. This company has excellent customer service! So Cool! Just to let you now all my other belts have been put in the charity bin. Anson rocks!

The best part is the adjust is about 1/4 inch each ...
I was hesitant to buy these due to the price...I finally decided to and after about two weeks of use, I am ready to post my review of this belt.Note - be very careful when you first cut to size this belt. Make sure you are cutting from the right end (the end without the holes) otherwise you will ruin your belt before you even get to wear it!Pros:+ Micro-adjust technology is not a gimmick. It really works and is secure. The best part is the adjust is about 1/4 inch each click. Regular belts cannot do this and this is the best feature of the belt.+ Cut to fit your waist size+ Leather seems nice quality and sturdy+ Interchangeable buckles and belts+ Ease of use - simple to tighten and loosenAreas for Improvement- The buckle is rather thick, at least much thicker than my regular belts. It is not as noticeable from the front but is very noticeable as the belt wearer (birds eye view down) and from the side.- Price, would like to see this for $40 instead of $50Bottom Line: This is a good belt because you can adjust in very small increments. This would easily be a 5 star review if the buckle was thinner.

No problem for in between sizes
It's easy to attach the strap to the buckle. Trimming the strap was also easy. But what I like most is that if you're in between sizes, you don't have to get someone to adjust your belt. You simply ratchet the buckle more or less. It also helps when you've eaten too much. Just move the ratchet back a notch or two (more if you ate at a buffet). The buckle is high quality and easy to use. However, it takes a while to get used to using the ratchet instead of the old fashioned belt buckle.

Good looking but clumsy design
The belt is good-looking but the buckle is clumsy to use.

Bought as a gift -- Impressed enough that I got one for myself!
I bought one of these belts for my dad for his birthday back in August, and I opened the package to make sure everything was OK with it and was immediately impressed by the way the ratchet system worked. My dad said he likes his belt, so after a while I eventually got one of my own.Trimming the belt before putting the buckle on seems daunting but there's a decent amount of margin for error with how large the ratcheting area is, so as long as you're somewhat careful it should be fine. Definitely err on the side of making it too long instead of making it too short because you can always cut off a little bit more but you can't make it longer after cutting it.The belt itself is sturdier than any other infinitely-adjustable belt that I own (woven, D-ring, friction), and isn't prone to slippage like a D-ring or friction buckle belt. The one con of this belt is that the buckle is thick, and so it will stick out more than some other belts' buckles on certain pants. For example, on my North Face "modern pants" and several pairs jeans of various brands (Calvin Klein, Guess, Levi) it sits completely fine, but on my Wrangler 936 "Cowboy Cut Slim" jeans, there's a lot of reinforced stitching near the button which makes the buckle stick out pretty far.I eventually plan on buying a black belt to go with black shoes.
