I put some new off-brand batteries that had the retail store's name on them in the clipper and they did not work. On closer inspection, I noticed that negative terminals of the batteries are very slightly recessed. I put some Duracell batteries in and it worked fine. So the clippers are not designed to take all makes of batteries. All of the batteries tested as new. So if yours don't work, try some different batteries.

Had this less than a month....went to use it today (for the 4th time) and it's DEAD!!! Putting brand new batteries in it did nothing to remedy the problem!!! REALLY upset that I didn't notice this seller's return policy BEFORE I bought this item; which is a NO RETURN policy!!!!Buyers.... Think twice before ordering this piece of junk!!! (Unless you LIKE wasting your money!!!)
