I have a lace type curtain behind the tree & I wanted something familiar. This topper came in right color & fabric. For the low price is very well made.

Cute tree topper but arrived only packaged in plastic wrapping which didn’t give any protection against bending. Plus my postman stuffed it in my mailbox. Don’t know if it’s damaged until we get our tree but I’m concerned.Update!! Tree finally arrived and I’m very pleased with this topper!! Looks great on our 4.5 ft tree and I love the understated three-dimensional quality. Exactly what I wanted!!

The current product photo shows a black solid star with gold highlights. This is misleading. The star is completely gold, with a see through gold screen mesh. See photos. Looks clean and fabulous!The star is not flat. It's sticks out on both front and back. It's about 1.25 inches wide. It's got gold glitter on it, some of which came off on my hand while putting the star on the tree.The star itself looks great. I was tired of the old balancing act with a bigger, lighted star and was looking for something smaller, lightweight with a classy look for my five foot tree. This fits the bill nicely, and I'm very happy with this purchase. Yea, I paid full price for it here.

I bought a filigree-type star at Target a few years ago for the top of my artificial tree, but while it was pretty, it was also heavy, and constantly listed to one side or another no matter what I did to add support and keep it standing straight - including bending the top spire of the tree backward over the coil (for balance) and hooking it under another branch (for support). Furthermore, the tree looked top-heavy with it in addition to lopsided. I knew I was going to have to find another one.This year, I went browsing on Amazon for a pretty star that might be lighter than my metal flat-filigree star. I hit upon this one, read some reviews, and bought it on a lark (it was the holidays after all). I'm so very glad I did.First, don't be fooled by the picture up there: it makes the star look like solid bronze-colored base with some gold glitter swirls. In person, this star is so pretty and delicate. I have a thing for the filigree look, and this star is airy gold mesh with beautiful gold glitter swirls that look so delicate and intricate and catch the light perfectly. It's also very lightweight and took no effort to perch it up on top of the tree. The mesh also keeps it from looking too heavy up there, so it complements without distracting.The ONLY reason it loses a star (ooh, punny; sorry) is the glitter. While I love the sparkle, I don't love the coating of everything else in the Christmas box with it. I have the same problem with ornaments, for what it's worth, though I still buy them because, well, sparkly! The coil is entirely coated in the glitter and every edge has a line of glitter running across it. Still love my star, just don't love the sharing.

This Kurt Adler 6 1/4 inch Gold Wire Star Tree Topper is absolutely beautiful. (see customer images 2 and 3 and my accompanying notes). It is glittered all over but not over-done. It has beautiful intricate cut-out work in the lace that is so unique and adds to the interest of the star. The cut-out in the lace allowed me to wind a single yellow light into the center of the topper to add just a little illumination from inside the star. I was able to put it on the spire of the tree, and got it to stand perfectly, with very little effort. The topper is finished identically on both sides so can be viewed from any angle.If you are looking for an elegant, refined tree topper this Kurt Adler design is the one for you! And the price was fantastic at $6.99. As long as the 6 1/4" size is sufficient for your tree, I guarantee you will not regret this purchase.

There is a area that is not attached and the material is pulled away.

I live in a one bedroom apartment that is very small. I can't set up a normal size Christmas tree with out sacrificing a large part of my living room. That is why I purchased a small 3' fake tree. Do you know how hard it is to try to find a star that looks good and is proportionate to the trees size? It is hard! I am lucky I found this Kurt Adler 6.25" gold tree topper star. Not only does it look good but it fits my trees size. The frame of the star is covered with gold glitter and it actually stays on the star and it doesn't flake off like a few cheep ones I found in local store that I shop. It may be hard to see but there is a gold mesh on parts of the star and it makes it look real classy. I have no problem suggesting it to others that are looking for a good looking small tree topper star. Hope this helps someone. Merry Christmas to all :-)

This is an absolutely beautiful star. It fits perfectly on my 7.5 ft tree (also purchased from Amazon). This star is much more beautiful than shown in the photo. I will post a photo of it at a later date to show the beauty and detail of this star. I searched high and low for a star and this one was just what I was looking for. It was also the perfect weight - it stayed up perfectly without falling from side to side.

This is the perfect size for a small 4 ft. tree. It looks lovely!
