A+D Tattoo Moisturizing Ointment, Clinically Tested, Hypoallergenic 1 Ounce Tube

I have been getting tattoos for 30 yrs (got my first one in my friends kitchen when it was still illegal in NY City!). The biggest pain is keeping them moisturized so they don't scab up which will pull color out. Initially, I used the original formula A&D for this. For those that have used it, you know it will stick to your clothes and can stain as well.Back in 2000, I started using Tattoo Goo during the day as I could reapply it and it wasn't thick. At night, went back to the A&D as it lasted longer so the tattoo didn't dry and stick to the sheets.I just got a new tattoo and went to Amazon to get some new Tattoo Goo and saw this tattoo specific version of A&D. This is MUCH better than the original formula as it isn't scented and isn't as "gooey". It goes on more like a cream.The description says it is for healed tattoos, but as others have said, it is working great for my new tattoo. You don't need too use too much, so it will last a while. Overall, very happy with the purchase and will keep it in the arsenal of tattoo care products going forward!

Let’s just say that this is the best product I’ve used for my tattoos thus far. I got in yesterday from being out all day so my tattoo was dry and sore. The minute I applied it I had instant relief. It’s texture is perfect and In between. I woke up in the middle of the night to reapply like I always do to prevent my tattoo from drying up and my tattoo was surprisingly very moisturized so I did not need another application. This is a game changer and my go two moving forward. If it’s this good on a tattoo 3 and 4 days old I can only imagine how much moisture my tattoo would’ve gotten had I started from day one. Will give another review next month when I get my next tattoo and I use it from day one!!! Just get this it won’t disappoint.

After purchasing I read the label, and it says it's for fully healed tattoos. Which is misleading since their regular A&D is often used during the healing.Seems a bit odd to rub an expensive lotion on your tattoos.

This is the second time I’ve purchased and I always recommend. I used this immediately after healing/scabbing is done but it’s still fresh, post healed, like the instructions say. It’s so moisturizing and soothing and really makes the tattoo come to life.

Works great tho.! Have to apply it multiple times like multiple multiple times a day.. doesn’t last long.

Kept the tegaderm on 4 days then did 3-5 days of this and my tattoo is completely healed and looks great. This also makes old tattos look great as well! Will never get another tattoo without this.
