Not for woodworking
I bought these based on the great reviews with the intent to use them as backup chisels in my woodworking shop. It turns out the steel is much too soft for this - these are really carpenter's chisels. My first clue was the metal cap on top of the red plastic handles, indicating these are designed to be struck with a steel hammer. They come with a 25 degree ground (not honed) bevel and are somewhat sharp, but I went ahead and gave the 3/4" chisel the "full treatment". First I flattened the back with a coarse diamond stone, fine diamond stone, extra-fine water stone and finally, an 8000 grit water stone until the back had a mirror polish. For the bevel, I went through the same series of stones - the coarse and fine stones at 25 degrees and the water stones at 30 degrees to give it a more robust secondary bevel. This process always creates a burr on the back and I polish it away with the 8000 stone. I took this razor sharp chisel to the bench. I put a scrap of 2x4 in my vise and took a shaving off the end grain - not bad! I tried another shaving but it wouldn't cut this time. On examination, I could feel the sharpened edge had curled under, so I went back to the stones and honed off the damage. Another test on the 2x4 went the same as the first. These really aren't meant to be woodworking chisels. However, if it's carpenters chisels you're looking for, I expect these will give good service. You can pound on them with a claw hammer to demo out nasty old deck boards or pry off old door casing without putting your more expensive chisels at risk. That's what they're destined for in my shop.Check the top of this Amazon page for 2 images I've uploaded.MikeMike

Works as expected
I only need to replace one room door lock with one that I can lock. I had to chisel so that the new one lock can fit. It served my purpose.

soft but good as a first set
I bought these to play around with and learn how to carve basic wood joints, so I can't really comment on the ergonomics or quality of the steel. I can say the edges got nicked and dulled faster than I expected, even just messing around on some soft pine, however they still cut adequately. I was able to sharpen them with a diamond whetstone to a nice edge and keep going. As one other reviewer said, they'll work just fine, you just may have to sharpen them more often than chisels with higher quality steel.

Fuller tool 301-1950 3 piece PRO Heavy Duty Wood Chisel set
For this price, these are very good utility chisels. I have yet to purchase the high dollar chisels offered from some manufacturers, just as I do not own top of the line autos, Audio equipment or power tools. I feel for general use these chisels are more than adequate. I put enough time in sharpening my chisels, that they perform as I would want them to. These tools sharpen to a razor like edge and will shave fine wood as it will your arm.

About as sharp a shave as a man can get
Three piece set for less that a haircut? I've had Fuller chisels for as long as I can remember. They are sturdy and take abuse well. You can't go wrong with these as budget chisels.

Good quality wood chisels
I got these for large scale wood working and they have been great. The chisels are extremely sharp out of the box and work flawlessly. With "wood carving" branded chisels you would usually pay quite a bit more. As long as the larger size are not an issue, you will not go wrong with these.

Very Good Value
I was attracted to these chisels partly because they were reasonably priced, and from Canada, not from China or some third world country where you might expect poor quality. For my use as an amateur woodworker, I am very satisfied with my new chisels.

Decent for the price
This is a good selection of chisels to put in the toolbox, useful in many situations. It is not a complete set for a woodworker, but I find it useful to take to have on hand when I go to a work site, particularly when I was not expecting to need a chisel.

Very smooth paring
Leave a helpful vote if you found this review helpful! The Good:- Cuts well- Can handle blows- Minimal vibrationThe Not So Good:- Blade and handle balance a little off- Chisel blade guards easy to loseI was actually really surprised by the cutting quality of these chisels. I am not too sure how durable these will be before they need to be sharpened but so far they are pretty nice to work with. I primarily use these for doors (hinges and latches) and these are definitely better than my last set. I did find that the blade and handle balance is a little blade heavy and overall a little heavy. The chisels do handle hammer blows well with minimal vibration. The last point is more a wishful thought but it would be nice if the blade guards had a tether to the chisel so you don't lose them if they happen to fall off or misplace them. Thanks for reading! Disappointed in factory finish
The media could not be loaded. These chisels arrived with an unusable edge out of the box.The 1" chisel cutting edge is not square and has one corner folded over. The 3/4" has quite a burr on the edge side. The 1/2" plainly isn't sharp.Don't buy these with the expectation of using them right out of the packaging, they will need some work to be even somewhat useful.

Great all purpose chisels
I actually already own a lot of expensive chisels. But it’s such a shame to use expensive chisels day to day on the job. I bought these chisels and I use them for everything and they stand up to lots of abuse. They are also really easy to sharpen. No problem hitting them with a hammer either. I’m a professional carpenter and these are my go to chisels!
