B+W 95mm with Sigma 150-600mm Contemporary
I use this filter (95mm) with my Sigma 150-600mm (Contemporary) and Canon 2x iii extender. This combination will bring the aperture down to f/13 at 600mm (1200mm). So I need a filter that allows most light (> 98%) to go through. When I was shopping the UV filter, I had few things in my mind:- Cost. My Sigma 150-600mm lens costs only $700. This 95mm filter costs $120, that's 17% of the cost of the lens. Should I invest those money?- Light Pass-Through rate. Cheap filters (<$50) allow lesser amount of light to pass though (< 90-95%). In my setup (f/13), I need as much light as possible. Most B+W filters allow more than 98% of light to pass though.- Ring Material. Some name brands (e.g., Formatt Hitech and Sigma filters) made excellent glass, but their rings cannot hold the glass well. After months of uses, the glass can fall off easily. B+W uses brass to make the ring. It's heavier than aluminum and hold the glass better.- Multi-Coated vs Single Coated. Single coated is about 20% cheaper. If you like to shoot under the sun and want to avoid lens flare, you better stick with multi-coated.So finally I bite the bullet and clicked the order button. I am very happy with it.

Watch out for the fakes
The product I received was a fake. I returned it.

I get some lens flare and ghosting.
I get a noticable amount of lens flare and a bit of ghosting using this on my Sigma 150-600. I have other B+W clear filters ( B+W 58mm XS-Pro Clear UV Haze with Multi-Resistant Nano Coating (010M) and I don't get the same ghosting/flare that I see with this size. The biggest offense was when I had it on taking shots of the moon. I couldn't remove the doubled ghost moon that was showing up without removing the filter. I'll probably only keep it on when I'm in super dusty environments from here on out. B+W 58mm XS-Pro Clear UV Haze with Multi-Resistant Nano Coating (010M)

Not fake or unreal..excellent quality and best to have
I got the Nikon 200-500mm lens and wanted a good UV filter for it to keep the lens safe.It was September 2015 I got it and gave used it ever since.I got I got 3 other kinds and they don't even compare to this one. My photos are clear and nice.I don't think it's a fake or bad at all like others ..it is a superb UV filter multi-coated and it is the best I have and won't quit using them.

Used Item
Tape on filter box was cut. I assumed it was purchased and returned. I looked closely at the filter and it was clear and unmarked. I likely will not return it (they would just sell it to someone else) but paying for a new item and getting a used one is deceptive.
