Excellent
This was the first book by James Atkinson that I bought. I had been looking around for a safer method of training being a senior. I had heard about resistance bands and decided to give them a try. That was when I started looking for 'how to' books to assist in my training. I perused a lot of books on Kindle but was having a problem finding one that helped me. That was when I discovered this book. It explains in great detail how the exercises should be done for maximum effect. It also gives variations including for seniors. The illustrations are excellent showing exactly which muscles are being trained. Recommended workouts are presented too in case you don't want to put together your own workout. It plans or shows you how to plan your training for subsequent sessions. It is well written and easier to understand than many other books covering the subject. Thoroughly recommend. After this book I purchased 4 other books from the same author and have been highly satisfied.

For beginners
I bought both stretching and resistance band training and found both to be very basic. The first 40 pages of both being of preparation and understanding plus numerous pages of routine exercise program cards. Would have been great if the cover said for absolute beginners.

Excellent and straightforward instructions.
I gave my dad a set of bands to help him maintain his muscle tone, as he used to be a body builder. I also gave him this book and he told me that it really has some excellent exercises for strengthening muscles without putting undue pressure on your joints. He's absolutely delighted with this book and trains almost every night.

Poorly illustrated
Looks like a nice glossy workout booklet but in actual fact it's very poorly written with hand drawn diagrams with very little by way of exercise choice. Not what I thought I was getting.

Brilliant book for training anywhere with just resistance bands.
James does it again! I've read a few of James' books and they are brilliant. I've been training on and off for years and am a qualified PT, however I still find these books so useful especially this new resistance band one. I've always just used resistance bands mainly for warm up and cool down routines. After reading this book I've seen bands in a whole new light! This book has been so useful during lockdown as like many folk out there, gyms have been shut, but with a simple resistance band and this book we can keep some of our fitness and hard earned muscle! Highly recommended!

Great book to start from somewhere
Liked the way in which the book rolled. Right from the basics of 'what' to move towards 'How'. First and foremost for anyone getting into a journey is to start the process .

Waste of money
It’s a complete waste of money. It doesn’t say anything, very few exercises.Better to buy a more expensive book that contains any information in it.
