Not a bad shirt
This is a nice quality shirt / light jacket. Great fabric, a little water repellent also. But it has too much Velcro. Methods to stick a patch on seem to be popular but stuff sticks to Velcro. Especially when it is on the shoulders-where you brush up against everything. Like dog hair, small twigs, or even tent tree caterpillars. Maybe someday garments of this style can be offered w/o Velcro, or Velcro as an option. Walking through a dusty barn or a dry patch of woods means cleaning stuff off your shoulders.Otherwise it is a sturdy comfortable garment with good pockets. More of a heavy work shirt, with sticky shoulders, than a duty garment though.I usually wear a long or tall size, the arms on this shirt are good, the body a smidgen short. Not going to return it but will not buy another.

Great cut & fit.
These coats (shirt) are cut & styled like the new active duty military is using now. They have all the right pockets, in all the right places. Including elbow pockets for the pad inserts, if you want them. The material is thick and doubled where it is needed. Sizes are big and roomy, so if you are weight lifter, or just a larger person, you will still have plenty room to move. All I have ever found on the civilian market are the straight "crappy" military coats we wore in the 80's and early 90's. The only improvements I could suggest is greater, or longer strip of velcro at the cuff for a tighter fit. And also greater access in the US, so that exchanges (sizes) could be easier & less expensive. Great Product!

So first things first it's obviously a good jacket well designed well stitched but I wasn't too happy about the Colortone I got this in coyote Brown and it's more like a Carhart brown really...although dose seem like it will fade a bit overtime to a more "tactical" shade. I got the same brand jacket a few years ago but in the combat shirt variant thinking it would be the same shade of color .. Yah not so much... The other thing I would like to point out is that it's a little "poofy" like a hair to big .. Basically it's not gonna fit to regulations if that's what you want it for.. Other then that it came in about three days faster then predicted and like I said in the beginning it's well-made, durable and it seems almost waterproof .. I tried soaking it in hot water and it took some time before it absorbed the water and once it did it dried out fast .. Definitely worth getting Just some small hookups that I personally didn't care for.

Too much velcro wish it was NYCO, wish they had Small-Long size
The shirt is covered in velcro. I wish there was none, except maybe to close the pockets.I used a thread ripper to remove most of it. Unfortunately, I made a small cut in the shirt itself at the top of one of the top pockets. Now I have to be careful, or I am sun-burned when I wear the shirt.I work ouside in brush, and if I kept the velcro, every plant known and unknown would stick to the velcro. That might be a great idea for a gillie suit, but I don't want one of those for work.I wish the shirt was in NYCO. That is cooler, and I work in Central Texas.I also wish they used military sizing. I like the small-long size, because it better protects my arms, and offers a little better protection of my waist area.It would be nice if one of the top pockets had a pen slot in the flap.Other than those complaints, it's a nice shirt. I'm going to order a couple more.

Spot On! Outstanding!
Discovered this by accident and figured I'd take a chance. Initially i was concerned about fit and the hassle of doing a return, but placed the order anyway. Excellent product! Well made, VERY nice design (pockets are perfectly placed !), perfect fit (got a small, to have a fit that is like a sports jacket). Seller was very helpful and responsive when package didn't arrive when anticipated (neglected to take into consideration processing by Customs). Overall EXTREMELY pleased with the product and the excellent customer service. Immediately ordering a beenie cap and anorak after writing this review. I'll be well set for when the weather turns cooler. Just overall great!

Fast! And perfect for what I needed
These guys are awesome. Just putting that out there. Their customer support is super fast and very helpful. I received my package in only 15 days, compared to the estimated length of 28 - 35 days, which was the EXACT day I needed it! I am so happy with it, its very comfortable and fits perfect.Be warned, if you've worn military jackets before, and you a little big (like me) but you fit a large? a large will fit you just fine. I'm normally an XL wearing person, but Large has always fit me great in military ACU's. The back isn't pictured, but it DOESN'T have the gussets that the standard Digital Camo ACU's do on the shoulders. But I had no problem moving my arms around and I have broad shoulders, so this jacket is really perfect for anyone. Would absolutely recommend, and I thank Helikon for giving me a new perfect work uniform.

Great bit of kit
Although there has been no field trial as received quite recently, I will update in a few months if I remember..But my first impressions are: this item sits somewhere in between my other torso coverings. I see it as a really think shirt for slightly cooler or maybe more arduous tasks where you need a bit more protection, getting through undergrowth or where the use of the body against surfaces is neccessary and you need something to protect you a little bit more without wearing a full blown jacket or worry about damaging something thinner...i would also see this as a thick jacket, for those hotter climes or working around camp where the weather requires a bit more covering *hot and cooler enviroments) as well as those camp tasks I allude to above...it has a shed load of pockets, well stiched, nice size and I feel that they are well placed for those bits and bobs you need on you. The velcro will meet the wants of those who like a few moral patches or even wearing rank and trade patch's when on ops, whether beer ops with former muckers or real ops...I like the design and feel, I got the coyote and like this colour as it has less tac presence that black, green etc...so at this point I would give it 5 stars and recommend it..

Like a glove, but not a glove
This is a great alternative to the cabana, or overshirt. When you want something more than a t-shirt, but not a jacket and you need somewhere to stow your EDC. It's exactly what you would expect, a well designed, well made, hard wearing garment that will outlast me. And, shock horror! It seems the 'military' look is en vogue. So, buy one and look fashionable and tactical at the same time. Unsurpassed build quality and excellent value for money.

Good jacket
I've had three of these now. They are hard wearing but watch out for cigarette burns. Eight pockets in all so you can distribute the weight of all the stuff you can carry. I use the large plate sleeve pockets for a cap and small flat packets. Cool in summer ok over a fleece shirt in winter. But it's not waterproof.

Value for money.
Very well made. Comfortable. Sizes up on the large side, which I expected from the other reviews. I brought this for summer use as an over shirt \cargo vest. Pockets are very easy to access and very secure.Go down a size if you want a close fit.

It is a baggy fit which is probably a good thing in hot conditions
I haven't had time to try my jacket out other than to try it on for size. It is a baggy fit which is probably a good thing in hot conditions. It appears to be well made and of good quality. Once I have used it a few times and put it through the wash a few times I will give an up date. So far all looks good. Prompt service and arrived on time.
