Very Impressed
I am very pleased with this amplifier/receiver. I had my doubts at first, as most receivers are in the 200-500 dollar range, and this one was only ~85. However, this amp works perfectly for what I have. For those wondering, I'm running a dual speaker setup, with 4 tweeters, two mid ranges, and two 12" Goldwood Subs. The Sound is incredibly clear, and the bass hits hard.Pros:-Great compact size-Great bass/treble/balance control-Dual Wattage comes in handy if you want to hook up a whole surround sound system-Come with handy, easy to understand directions for people who know nothing about how to set these things up (like my roommates)-GREAT for the value (remember, this will give you great sound, but not drop dead amazing sound. You are only spending 86 bucks!!)Cons:-Cord is a little short (nothing an extension cord can't fix)-When using mic and aux at the same time, it can become easy for one to drown out the other. All in all, 5/5! Great Product, I am very happy with my purchase!

Good Little Unit for Decent Price
I was looking for an inexpensive amp to power my two outdoor (150W) speakers, but I didn't want to buy a whole new large receiver for the task. Initially I tried the Pyle PCAU46A (120W/channel) unit, because that model came with a remote control and a nicely lit volume knob. But after only an hour or two of playing music at no more than 1/3rd the maximum volume, the PCAU46A died and so did the replacement unit Amazon was so nice to send me. After the second unit died with even less play time on it I decided to give this Pyle PTAU55 (120W/channel) a try, even though there were no posted reviews yet.Welp, so far so good. This model has been powering my two outdoor speakers for several hours now at no more than 1/3rd the max volume and everything seems to be working fine. I use the SD card slot to play my MP3s, and I also use the Pyle to send my TV music channels outdoors. The PTAU55 has three inputs plus the SD/USB one that are selected manually with the frontal knob. The digital display is helpful when cycling through my songs as it displays the song numbers and time elapsed when playing a song. I can't imagine trying to use the previous Pyle units with SD/USB ports that lack this display. I really don't have any complaints about this model, except maybe that it lacks random play for the SD/USB slots. And I do wish this thing came with the remote control and the nicely lit volume knob the defective PCAU46A's come with. But, oh well, maybe Pyle's future models will have all the perks.UPDATE 1/19/2016:So, it has been 2.5 years since I purchased this Pyle PTAU55 unit, and the thing is still going strong, powering my outdoor speakers. No issues at all.

Update: Solid unit with clear sound and nice control feel.
This is a great little unit. It's very compact but also feels very substantial. It produces clear sound and has a nice "feel" to all the control knobs. I bought it mainly to connect between turntable and speakers. But I also tried the BT connection to my phone and that was easy to setup and worked really well for playing MP3s. I also tried the FM radio receiver and that was crystal clear too. I don't think you can beat this for the price.Update 9/5/22: Bought a second unit. Above comments still apply. LEDs are a bit bright but I still don't think you can beat this for the price.

great product feature set, quality issue with our unit
The product has an unique set of features that are inspiring. However, the unit arrived and we quickly realized that it would not work for us.*) Right channel stopped working for aux-in after 5-10 minutes. It worked fine on aux-in initially. This was really strange.*) Incredible amount of noise present even when no music was playing.*) Power output seemed low. I did not have time to measure it but we could not get the volume up significantly. I have 2x8 ohms 100 watt Polk Audio bookshelf speakers.I really wanted this to work. However, given the quality issues we encountered we switched to another brand of amplifier. Pyle has great product management as their range of products make for a wonderful selection but I am concerned about their quality. I would pay more for this set of features and higher quality.Pyle: I will be happy to receive a unit from you directly and revisit this review.

Excellent solution for my hearing loss
I purchased this Pyle PTAU55 amplifier to selectively increase the volume in the left channel to my headphones in order to compensate for hearing loss in my left ear. The PTAU55 works well for this purpose; in addition, it has control dials for treble and bass that can be used to shape the frequency response, which can be useful in the case of hearing loss.I underscore the importance of control dials for balance, treble, and bass that affect the output signal to the headphones. In contrast, the control dials of the Pyle PTA4 amplifier, which in many aspects resembles the Pyle PTAU55, do not affect the output signal to the headphones but only to the speakers, at least according the the manufacturer's response in the "answered questions" for the PTA4. So, if you are looking for an amplifier to selectively increase the volume in one channel to your headphones, verify that a particular amplifier does in fact offer that feature.
