The bowl is a good size for a main course serving for one. I use lots of ingredients in my salads as the are usually my entree. There is enough room to toss my salad in the bowl without it escaping. I don’t know about others but that makes me crazy at restaurants when you can’t mix in your dressing without making a bit of a mess.

Everything from Sophie Conran is beautiful and also great quality.

This is the smallest of the 3 sizes of the salad bowl collection. The white I received is less a bright white as it may appear in the pics but can be described maybe as off white or cream. It has a slight hint of very pale beige or yellow in it but will still blend well with other whites and colors.Maybe because of it’s smaller size it looks slightly more elliptical in shape than the larger ones. None of that takes away from the beauty or function and seems only to add to the thrown pottery look. It has beauty, the versatility of use in the oven, microwave, freezer and dishwasher. The sizes are all perfect and we use them all the time for everything.It is pictured in daylight near the celadon (light blueish-green) and again next to a white West Elm organic plate.

The was supplied promptly and well packaged. The bowl is contemporary and attractive.
