Bonus 3/8"-16 connector underneath a 5/8"-27 converter
As a bonus, this item actually has a 3/8"-16 connector with a 3/8"-16 to 5/8"-27 converter attached. The picture shows the 5/8"-27 converter attached, but this can be unscrewed to reveal the 3/8-16 connector. I don't see the 3/8" connector mentioned anywhere, so I guess don't assume that this won't change, but in my case I purchased 5/8"-27 to 3/8"-16 converters to use with this that I don't now need.I ordered two of these, and one had a manufacturing defect (the adjustment screw was tapped in on a 10-15 degree angle off center, so doesn't fit correctly with attachment surfaces), but a free replacement arrived within 3 days after reporting it.

Eliminate mic stands with this mic boom clamp accessory - Perfect for Piano Bar Singers.
This handy boom clamp attaches to a thick solid surface (like a table). You then attach a Mic Boom to it via a universal threading on the clamp. It's perfect for a microphone boom when you are doing podcasts or broadcasting live on radio, for instance. We use this clamp to attach the microphone boom directly to a piano for singers to use in a piano bar. We attached the clamp directly to the piano's sliding (music stand) panel and the boom attaches to the clamp. The On-Stage boom we purchased recently from Amazon is the perfect length to reach the center area of the piano where the singer will be positioned. This clamp eliminating the need for clumsy mic stands which always move around and just get in the way. The clamp also has a bit of rubber on it's inner surfaces which protects the piano or any furniture's finish and also prevents it from sliding. The Mic Boom is not included so you would need to purchase that separately. The 32" - non telescoping boom we purchased at Amazon is the On-Stage Microphone Boom (MSA7020B).

Failed Instantly
I don't know if I got a bum batch but the instant I tried to get the clamp to tighten it stripped itself out. I ordered two and the second one did the same thing. The tension screw had threads that appeared too small for the bolt that was welded to the bottom of the clamp. It wiggled around in there and appeared unstable the minute that I got the clamp out of the packaging. I didn't tighten it with some Neanderthal dumb-guy strength either; I believe that the average toddler could have cranked this clamp to the failure point without much effort. Even if I took care to lightly tighten the clamp to the edge of the table and avoid stripping it out I doubt it would have been able to support more than a pound in that state. The picture is of my solution which was to go up to 3/8th, drill out the initial hole, shave off the nut, weld on additional metal, tap the hole, and screw in my own tension screw. I ordered these clamps to avoid having to make clamps and ended up putting in the time I would have spent making them from scratch anyway.

Has Some Major Design Flaws
The top 5/8 threading is threaded on with no retaining system (instead of being welded or attached with a through-bolt). Anytime you screw something on tightly, the top threading will come off with whatever you attached... and depending on how far you screwed it on, it may be almost impossible to get out. This is an absolutely horrid design, and it should be mentioned in the description. The clamp does nothing to reduce vibrations, and it will mark whatever surface you screw it on. The square edges are not rounded off at all, and are sharp enough to damage the top surface as well.Other than that, the thing is built like a tank. If you are mounting to plywood that you don't care about, and don't need the 5/8 threading (so can use it without the ill-thought out threaded adapter), it's great. Otherwise, definitely pass.

Measure the surface its mounted to
Nothing but good things to say about this product. It works as it says it does. I made the mistake of not checking to see the thickness the bracket would attach to. The bracket does not close completely being made for thicker surfaces than a sheet metal stand. I had to use a block of wood to fill the difference.Otherwise. Good product.

Good mount
It's a table clamp. Very sturdy, but I ended up not using it. I wasn't able to get the right length and angle that I liked using this. That's my own fault because I didn't bother to measure the corresponding products. I give it give stars because it seems really well made and doesn't slip off my table like cheaper devices.

Fine Piece of Kit
First one I bought didn't have the top bolt weld ground flat on the inside so it would not sit flat on a table top & would scratch it. I applied 4 self stick rubber feet under each corner and it holds super solid with no scratching. Just ordered 2 more and will use rubber feet on those as well, because they help it grip so well. For those who haven't noticed, or thought of it, the plastic end of clamping screw has V shaped grooves that allow it to be clamped to a round pipe or stand column. It is not as solid but works OK for lighter duty apps.Would be nice if they included a $.01 lock nut for the mic, like they do with their "POSI-LOC" "mini-mini boom".The metal seems to be heat treated, as it shows no sign of flexing when clamped very tight.

some people, careless people, grab the mic and pull it around to adjust it, and this clamp just pulls off the table edge. Its just not tight enough, or there is too much smoothness to the table. Anyway, best to just DRILL A HOLE in your table at this point. The rubber clamp will pull away with even moderate adjustments to your mike gooseneck mounted to this thing.

Fits into tight places / simple design
What I love about this clamp is it is simple and a super slim profile. I can have this attached at the back of my desk, and still have the desk up against the wall. Also incase anyone was wondering (as I was), it doesn't say anywhere in the description as to whether the 5/8" Threaded piece comes off. Happy to say it does. It unscrews off of a 3/8" threaded stud that is welded to the plate of the bracket... or maybe it comes in from behind, but I can not tell that since there is a very nice piece of thin dense foam on the bottom of that plate to protect your desk. The overall clamping force is very good. It does not come loose. The only thing I can pick at is the price being a little high, but then I really haven't found any competition to force the price down either. Would be a must have in your clamp "bits and bobs" for around $15 CAD. Still highly recommended.

Only good for stationary mic
Do not buy this to use with a mic on any kind of boom arm or scissor arm. Every time you move the mic, this bracket moves too. It is unstable. The knob that tightens this in place is too small so you can’t ever get it tight enough. This is probably ok for a mic on a stand that will never be moved.

Attached very well to table for mounting a goose neck mic. All good here! I added thin layer of adhesive backed foam on the contact areas of the clamp to counter any movement on slick surfaces and act as an extra shock absorber for the mic.

Support de micro à pince ajustable
Malheureusement le perçage du disque de plastique était inadéquat pour la tige filetée et ne tenait pas en place. J'ai du le repercer.
