Amazingly powerful, fast, and convenient.
I use it for drilling concrete for large anchors and re bar. It's light, and an amazingly well built product just as all Makita tools are. It automatically adjusts drilling speed based on pressure and resistance, I have a more expensive, corded model, and I prefer this over that one in most situations.

My favorite drill.
I have many drills and this is by far the most dependable and powerful it does not over heat quickly like my others do in fact it has never over heated and I have drilled hundreds of holes in granite between 1.5'' and 1.25'' down to 4' deep even on hot days it stays cool.

Great value tool
We drill 1&1/4 inch holes in 4” slab concrete all day. The Mikita rotary hammer drill is the best we found in 20 years of business

Very disappointed with Makita
The drill stop hammering within the first 30 days. I paid $112.00 freight for UPS 3day air from Hawaii to send it back to Makita. Did not hear back from Makita, 3 weeks later I called and Makita said they are waiting for a part. Finally got back the drill after a month and tried it and within 2 hours of uses the drill stop hammering again. Called Makita and they said send it back I paid for freight another $116.00 . Didn’t hear back from Makita agian. Finally got the drill back after 45 days. Makita service sucks, I will never buy another Makita product again unless I get it for free.

I get through 4" of concrete with a 1 1/4" dry bit in less than 40 seconds. Beats the hell out of my Hilti.

Love it!
Amazing drill. I have used Bosch and DeWalt. By far this is an amazing drill. I think the price is not bad at all either. I use it almost daily for termite treatments.

Powerful
Used the Drill today for the first time, incredible performance. Out does any other Rotary Hammer Drill I’ve used. The Chipping Only Mode is handy. Made opening a hole that was 3’ by 3’ in a terrazo floor a breeze. I highly recommend this took for any proffesionals.
