I purchased this as I'd already enjoyed the Booze and Baccy moustache wax in spite of its poor hold - I really liked the scent.I also purchased alongside this, a similar beard oil by Mission Beard Underdog purely for comparison.The scent of this Ricki Hall's Booze & Baccy Beard Oil is just Clove and nothing much else; it doesn't have the refined scent of the Ricki Hall moustache wax that should match it - in fact the mission beard Underdog knocked this for six.As a beard oil, technically, I suppose it's ok. Thankfully the clove scent isn't that long-lasting. But I was disappointed, and its unlikely I will choose this again

I was looking for a beard oil because of itchiness and my beard being too thick for comfort. This beard oil not only helped with these problems but smells great. The wife loves it and I got compliments from colleagues also. Smell lasts a long time, its gentle subtle smell lasts a long time and even though the oil is thick, there is no greasing as long as you apply the recommended amount. Would recommend and value for money

Having fallen in love with the ‘personality’ of the Captains brand, and dedicating lockdown in Britain towards tending to my facial follicles, I thought it only right to dip the proverbial toe into the water of the Captains products by purchasing this ‘taster bottle’Simply put, this is the only beard oil you’ll ever need.The bottle, superbly presented.The pipette, exceptionally handy for precise application.Sa for the smell, well, Cpt Fawcett and Mr Ricky Hall have stumbled upon something rather special here.If you have the intention of smelling like a gentleman that would invoke nostalgia in every fellow you stroll past, assert yourself as an individual of taste and impeccable manners, and quite possibly smell almost as good as the good Captain himself after sipping on a choice tipple and smoking one of his favourite cigars, then this is THE beard oil for you.Look no further chaps, as this marks the end of your expedition for the best beard oil you could possibly hope for.

Very nice product. The oil and balm feel good quality in comparison to cheaper supermarket products I’ve used. Packaging and design are incredible however I found the scent to be very Victorian pharmacy cough sweety unlike the name, booze and baccy. Wasn’t very keen on it to start off with but it is growing on me. My advice buy one product at a time so you can at least gauge the scent before committing to buying oil and balm.

Bought this product as I read a couple of reviews bit should have read a few more. The oil leave your face really greasy and the smell it leave on your face is grim something between mildew and vinegar (like some rancid walkers special edition crisp flavour) if you want to fill like you have rubbed the inside of a crisp packet on your face then purchase away if not avoid.
