Oh my... god.
I love this phone. Everything about it I love. The screen is stunning the black look so crisp and dark, perfect contrast for images and videos on the phone. You can watch movies on this phone and it will look beautiful. The battery is amazing, it lasts me the entire day and if it doesn't for times I use it a lot it comes with fast charging. The phone can charge from 0-100% in an hour or so, it also support wireless charging. The camera on this phone is phenomenal, it takes such nice crisp photos and good low light photos for a phone camera (Ill show some photos I took with the phone in the review) The phone is self is very responsive and quick with the 4 GB of ram. Samsung Pay is also a nice feature on this phone, it allows you to put your card on your phone and make your wallet obsolete, and this doesn't just use NFC. This phone allows Samsung pay to work with any magnetic card reader that you can swipe, so it will also work on old card readers that don't support NFC/Mobile payments. Also this phone is water proof so I can use it in the shower and even in the pool. There's other things included that seems quite gimmicky, but its a nice feature to have like the heart rate monitor on the back. The only cons I have with this phone like the finger print scanner not being able to read my fingerprint every once in a while (its probably due to me not placing it on the scanner correctly or fully, but its still nice to have it read it 100% no matter what my finger placement is.) and coming from HTC the one other con is that the speakers are on the bottom, like an IPhone and most smartphones. Front facing speakers was such a nice thing to have on my HTC phone, if this phone had that, it would be the perfect phone.

Love!
Phone showed up a week early, yay! But it was missing the sim card so i couldn't activate it. Contacted the seller who got back to me within 12 hours. They sent me a sim card and i got the phone activated, no issues. This was not the sellers fault, Virgin Mobile goofed. I absolutely love this phone. I upgraded from an S3 which i loved but it was starting to show it's age. This phone is fast, text messages, even with attachments take just a few seconds to send. The camera is great, way better than the S3. Night and day difference. I haven't taken any selfies yet but i rarely do so comments I've seen regarding the quality, I can't comment on. The battery life is really good, lasts me all day even with listening to music at work all day through the headphones which are way better than my other phone. Haven't tried quick charge yet but it doesn't take long to charge with a standard charger. I love that i can adjust the screen brightness to auto, the phone senses light changes and adjusts the screen accordingly, i can even see it in sunlight in a car (not driving, as a passenger! The phone stays in my purse while driving, safety first!) Love this phone!

Eight Months Later -- Phone No Longer Works
Purchased this phone in January 2018 and activated in February 2018. Phone started slowing down a few weeks ago and now the touch screen is unresponsive and/or wonky so I can't properly open apps, read text, make calls, answer calls or even shut the phone down. Periodically, I can get the phone to be somewhat functional and I tried many, many reboots (several a day), eliminated some apps (didn't help), cleared the cache (helped for a few minutes), installed an update (made things worse) and today wiped the partition (did not help at all). Phone won't turn off at present -- when/if it does turn off I'll do a factory reset. All this and an unexpected death in the family - desperately need to be able to communicate and can't use this phone. Totally unreliable in less than a year! Unacceptable doesn't even begin to cover this situation . . . Checked on line and this seems to be a common problem with the S7. what's up with this, Samsung?Further update: Purchased NEW phone in January 2018. Seller refused to help, only offers 30-day warranty and gave me a number to call Samsung. After a couple hours of calls and being on hold, Samsung refused to honor it's one-year warranty because warranty period was triggered by seller, and so it looks like the phone is out of warranty and gave me an email address to contact and provide documentation of date of purchase (and a bunch of other documentation). Jumping through hoops before Samsung will even begin the process of making good on the warranty. Seller has responded to emails, but I'm having to pull information out of them one painful piece at a time. Ridiculous amount of emailing and documentation. Meanwhile I have a useless phone.
