Never Pay The Dealer
I can't believe I never left a review for this. Let me explain my situation I have been having problems with my current key. Then on top of that I only have one key. So as for a safety precaution it would make sense for me to have a backup. I go to the dealer and they tell me $300 USD just so people are not confused that was to much. I said it can't be that difficult. I buy this and they give me some long speach and even with the key the price almost didn't change. I said cool I'm tech savvy I'll get it done. I said I may be able to program it myself but then I realized I need a different special peice of software but then I still needed to get it cut. I go to the local lock smith. They tell me it might not work blah blah. However they say I'm sure you did research and this will probably work. They program and cut the spare key and tested and verified it working. The main key turned out to just be a battery and honestly that was only a few dollars maybe. I paid $100 after tax with everything both keys ect. This works.

Good Value, Cannot be self programmed for ignition, self programming works for button locks only!
Only after purchasing, having the keys cut at a locksmith, and self programming the keys did I learn that self programming does not pair the new key to the ignition system.According to the seller, via chat on their website, the chip in the key must be paired to the car with a scanner for the ignition to work. Paring the chip requires a dealer, auto-shop, or locksmith with a OBD scanner; and the correct software and some knowledge. A simple task but often costly as new keys are useless without pairing and the shops know it.Do shop around for cost I found differences of 300% for cutting calling different locksmiths. Now have to fine a deal to get it programmed.

I was a little shocked at how much less expensive these are than dealership keys
I honestly didn't have much faith that these would work as well as they do. The trick is to find a fair and reasonable locksmith who can both cut the key properly and program it to your vehicle without charging an arm and a leg for it. I lucked out because I've got a good locksmith like that a fairly short distance from my house that did it far cheaper than most of the places I inquired about it would. It still ain't as cheap as old-school keys, but that's the price of modern conveniences.
