KenicKalaya Emu Oil Pet Spray, 17-Ounce

I love this detangling spray. I use it every 2 or 3 days before brushing our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. I spray it all over her coat and rub it in….then brush. Brushing is now a breeze. She has very long hair that sometimes gets matted. I spray it right on the matt and am able to detangle most matts without using scissors. This spray not only keeps her coat conditioned, but prevents matts as long as I use it every two or three days. I’ve been using this for about 8 months. She gets professionally groomed every six weeks, so this spray really helps to maintain her coat in between. As to the scent, I do wish it had none, but with that being said, it’s not overwhelming and rather a natural citrus scent. I’ve used a couple of other brands that smelled so awful I threw them in the trash, one of which was so bad my dog had a coughing fit for a few minutes. I also love that this is made here in America! One small thing….. I have just started auto delivery, and really wish the company would offer refills with NO spray nozzle at a cheaper price. I have about four spray nozzles now that I don’t need, and would love that option. It would also help our environment, and I am sure help the company with shipment issues. This is an excellent product for providing moisture for a dog's sensitive skin. It is especially good for dogs with light or pink skin.If you have a very active dog or you live in a rurual area where you must shampoo often, then you'll want to use this excellent oil to keep your pet's skin and coat in good condition.It hinders irritated skin and soothes insect bites. I've been using this product for three years now on my two ShihTzus Hampshire and Darby.It smells wonderful and it is not too oily. The spray bottle is high quality and does not clog, drip, or malfunction.I paid $12.00 for a small bottle at the pet spay, but I found it on Amazon for pennies per gallon. I simply refill the smaller bottle and store the larger.When we've been out trecking through our 5 acre rural FL farm Darby & Hampshire might pickup a flea or tick. I wipe Darby & Hampshire down with a paper towel & rubbing alcohol.Then I apply the Emu oil and brush them with a flea comb. The oil slows fleas & ticks down for easy removal and disposal.My vets recommend bathing Darby & Hampshire every 2 weeks. This is an excellent solution for in between bath time.If you see your pet scratching, give them a rub down with a cleanser or alcohol then spray and rub in the emu oil. They'll love you for it. Caution: Not for ears, eyes or face.

First off I wasn't expecting such a huge bottle! I was pleasantly surprised to get so much for the price. I bought this because my pup would scratch incessantly and my vet ruled out any ticks or mites, so I guessed it was more of a skin irritation. I started him on a regime of coconut oil and this spray and after a couple weeks, success!!! He doesn't seem to scratch himself as much. The spray is a nice smell and four or five sprays seems to go a long way.

First off let me say THANK YOU for packaging this product so well! I was very impressed when I opened the box and found the bottle wrapped in such a way that it could not be damaged or manage to leak at all. I've been using this on my yorkie/maltese puppy (4 months old). She went to the groomers for the first time a couple of weeks ago and they said they used an oatmeal shampoo and good conditioner on her, but I noticed that she developed dry, flaky, itchy skin the next day. She also had a somewhat straggly coat, not at all what I expected a furry maltese or fluffy yorkie to have a problem with. Going to the groomer helped a little with that, but I was still concerned about her fur and also became concerned about her dry skin. Well, that's where this product comes into play. Luckily it shipped very quickly and after using it daily for the past week I've already seen a big improvement! I have not seen any flaky skin nor have I seen her scratch. Her fur is soft and shinny, and has also thickened up quite a bit and she is now starting to look more like a fluffy morkie should. I don't LOVE the smell, but I don't dislike it. I have thin, dry hair so after reading some of the other reviews about people using it on their own hair, and seeing what it's done for my puppy, I think I'll give it a try myself!

We adopted a retired racing greyhound and I was kind of shocked by the state of his coat when we met him. He was bald, patchy, and had bad flaking (which was super visible on his black coat). I can't believe how much he's noticeably turned around, even a neighbor commented! I spray and brush it in everyday. I was worried it was going to be greasy or heavy and it's not. It looks kind of wet as your brushing, but dries after just a few minutes and he's left looking shiny and moisturized. Has a very light, fruity scent. Does not smell too strong. I will absolutely buy again and recommend for any dog with a short coat.

My 10 month old puppy has severe itching owing to allergies and has not been able to use normal conditioner, using this in conjunction with emu oil shampoo leaves his long coat lovely and soft, smelling nice and no itching.
