My first rebounder....
This is the first one I have ever owned. It looks so easy in the dvd that I thought I would try it. It's not easy in the beginning but gets easier as you go along. If you are a beginner too then take it easy at first and bounce without ever letting your feet leave the trampoline. And do the stretching exercises like on the dvd. This thing is really well made and I don't feel like it is dangerous in any way, but I do like the bar on it and plan on leaving it on until I am comfortable without it. I get a little dizzy from all that bouncing and am glad to have it as a clutch if needed. The dvd starts out with exercises for first timers, basic exercises, intermediate, advanced, some for seniors, abdominal and contact. It's a very good dvd and I don't think you will be unhappy with it. Mine didn't come with a carrying case but I don't know why you would need one. It's light enough to pick up and carry around. It does take 2 people to fold it up if you want to make it smaller for storage. Those springs are heavy and tight and I wouldn't recommend folding it up unless you just have to do so. When it comes, all you have to do is fold it out and straighten the legs and it's ready to go. Putting the handle on is also easy. You need no tools whatsoever. My final advice is to have some advil and muscle rub on hand. You are going to need it in the beginning if you start out doing too much before you are ready for it! If you order from Amazon, you will have this in 3 or 4 days. I couldn't believe how quickly it got here. Be careful if you order one other than this one because some can't handle a lot of weight. I checked on one in a local chain store and I would have been afraid to bounce on it because it looked so cheaply made. Also check the weights they will hold...this one says 300 lb capacity, some don't even give a weight. This one is great for the price, believe me.

WOW!!!!
Just received my UR today. Rushed home, unpacked it and was wonderfully impressed. The directions are clear, concise and easy to understand and follow. Opened and assembled with only one small issue. The instructions say to assemble the stabilizer bar then put it on the rebounder but that didn't work so well even with my lovely assistant. What worked better was putting the bars in the leg holders first then assembling from there - left, right then center. But this is a GREAT VALUE for the money. This piece could easily sell for $200-$300 more, it's that well made. It's very sturdy (I weigh 215 pounds) and I feel very comfortable and confident on it and it's a real joy to use, I could feel it immediately especially in my knees, so soft and gentle it was great. I read many of the other reviews and some mentioned an odor; I'm in a closed, standard size living room and I smell absolutely nothing. I even put my nose to the equipment and got only the faintest smell of rubber from the tips on the legs. If the previous models had an odor problem it has been totally rectified. The videos that are included are great; there is also a segment to actually show you how to open and assemble the equipment. Then there are multiple workout levels you can choose from, from beginner to advance and even a senior level (where I started, I'm 61 and a newbie to rebounding). And I also want to say the music is FABULOUS, it's not annoying or corny, more on the Jazz side!!! And the instructors are perfect. I'm SO happy I made this purchase. This is going to be my life saver. It's like having a treadmill and strength building equipment all in one. Now, instead of having to get dressed and walk around the block, I'm just going to hop out of bed, jump on the rebounder and have my brisk 20 minute walk every morning in my living room! Wonderful, wonderful purchase.

Much better than the cheap ones!!!....But this is an old review...
Update: 6/11/2012 I'm lowering my review by one star because of a parts issue...I need a new mat and the website for Rebounding doesn't look terribly secure nor are the prices reasonable. I've been hoping that Amazon would stock the mats but no deal. The cost of a new MAT is $39 plus $9.95 shipping so you are almost buying a new trampoline if you order one from them. The skirt has also started to rip and they want $29 for that...and you guessed it...$9.95 for shipping. I really hate being forced to add this perfectly good frame and the springs to the dump but I have little choice. I won't be buying another one of these for that reason.Update: I want to preface this review by saying that this product is just now beginning to have issues.....After owning it for two years the mat is developing too much give, a tear has developed along the band that reinforces the mat and the blue liner is in shreds. It has had two years of heavy use by a person weighing about 130. It has lasted longer than any other trampoline I've owned and not broken one spring. That said....it is rated for someone up to 300 pounds. Frankly I can't imagine it surviving for long under that weight. It also seems that some people are experiencing quality problems with recent purchases. Look to the most recent reviews to get an up to date idea of whether the quality of this product has in fact gone down. Often once the hype of a company is gone...they cut corners. I know that some spas use the professional model of this unit but that doesn't mean they haven't cut quality on the home model.I just got mine in, set it up in under a minute and tried it out. For years I purchased these from sporting goods stores only to have them come apart in a matter of weeks. Though I haven't had it for long, I can say that this unit is head and shoulders above the cheap ones I've been getting. Here is why.1. The cheaper ones break springs because the springs are small and they hook directly into a hole in the frame that grinds at them until the ends snap. This unit uses a different system. A bolt protrudes from the frame. It contains a hole with rounded edges to protect the spring ends. The springs are also longer and thicker than the ones I've seen on cheaper models.2. Cheaper models suffer from inadequate stitching around the fabric perimeter that holds the bracket end of the spring. This causes the bracket to tear loose releasing two springs at once. A patch job is dangerous and sooner or later the thread slowly unravels completely and releases all the springs. This trampoline appears to be well stitched and uses six rows of stitching to hold the bracket.3. Cheaper models use a rigid trampoline material which transfers all the stress of your workout to the springs. On this model, the trampoline material has a great deal of elasticity which protects the springs and is much less jarring to your body. It also requires you to use slightly more balance than the others because your body sinks deeper into the center while working out.

Better than expected.
I wasn't sure what to expect when I bought this rebounder. I basically wanted something that was quiet, firm and hopefully would last longer than a few months. I have used it every day since we got it. Assembly was very quick and easy. No strong odour like some reviews suggested. So far, definitely very firm and sturdy. Quiet when I used it (I'm about 100lbs). A bit of noise (squeaking)when my husband used it (he's about 190lbs). It hasn't been a few months yet but I can tell it would last much longer than that. Therefore, I can say I am pretty happy with it.

Great quality and value!
The Urban Rebounder more than met my expectations. Within minutes of unfolding the product, it was ready for use. I feel confidant when I use it - it's stable, and the CD's that come with it give you a nice cross selection of workouts. I've used my rebounder for 6 weeks now, and I'm hooked. It's a challenging workout, but JB Burns goes through proper use on the CD's and he makes it so much fun! I would recommend the Urban Rebounder to anyone who is looking to add some spice to their workouts, with the added benefit of landing on a cushioned surface that doesn't put too much strain on bones and muscles. I'm very happy all around!
