You’ll never use yellow bits again.
With roughly 50 years of DIY and home repair, construction, mechanical, and plumbing experience, along with outdoor/boating repair and maintenance (I just about do it all…..NONE professionally and get cleaned up and put on slacks for that.), I have trashed more than my share of bits over the years, especially early on when I got bits from the “bargain bin” as I didn’t know what the difference was.As my finances allowed and I began to appreciate the difference between SS, aluminum, mild steel, etc., Ive probably also gone through the tool brand (DeWalt, Milwaukee, etc) and Big box (HD) offerings as well and I guess bought in to the selling points that “titanium nitride coated” or “cobalt” bits were better significantly over the basic HSS bit. As such, I bought and used them, but have never been able to appreciate a noticeable difference between any bit I ever used, and even found some cobalt bits (don’t all alloys have some cobalt? And “cobalt” bits just have “up to” 8% cobalt which helps with heat resistance and not the strength of the bit at all anyway?) less impressive and underperforming than TitNitride and even plain black oxide coated bits.So it was with this insight that I came across these bits and tried the 6 bit “starter pack”. And like many others have already weighed in, these bits are sharp, cut incredibly well immediately, and seem to retain their cutting ability longer than any other bit Ive used and quickly became my go to bits for everything I needed holes in.So after rethinking my biases and assumptions about bits from years of tool company sales campaigns, I got this 29 bit set knowing their “premium HSS, superb bit geometry, and NOMO coating (whatever that is) is by far and away a better performing bit than any “yellow” bit Ive used, whether it be Tit coated or “cobalt”.And even after they eventually get dull, which is understandable and to be expected, my Drill doctor does a great job for a home bit sharpener, and while never as impressive as when new, get restored to where they do everything I need from them, at least until I can justify throwing them out so I can get a new set. Either way, mine will forever after be shiny silver HSS bits without the premium cost of yellow coating or staining.

Great bits for drilling steel
I got these for my home metal fab shop. I use them with a hand drill and drill press on mild steel up to 3/8. They cut through mild steel like balsa wood. I have actually used these bits in bolt extraction where I have broken off cobalt bits inside the stud. These things come sharp, and the cutting edges are durable. I haven't broken one yet, and I've used all of the smaller ones. I'm super happy with these. Now I just have to decide if I want to get a decent sharpening system, or if I'll just buy a new set once in a while, and move the older sets to softer material use...

Good product
This is my second set of this brand of drill bits .I abused the mess out of the last set for the last ten years . They hold up well

Great Bits
The drill bits are excellent but the shipping was poor they shipped it in an envelope so therefore the case was all cracked that held the drills but other than that the drill bits are outstanding and the case is typically really convenient for keeping them but they did go ahead and replace them no big deal so I’m happy

Champion drill bits are top of the line IMO
I’ve purchased many drill bits over the years from the bargain basement and up and I find the Champion brand to perform better than the others.I’m not a big “gotta buy American” type of guy but Champion are made in the USA and though they aren’t inexpensive…you get what you pay for.I have a set of Champion number drills and have used those for years and figured that it was about time that I bit the bullet and spring for a fractional set. I do prefer the steel box that the number drills came in but the plastic container with the hook to hang from your toolbox makes sense. At first I thought it was a loop for your belt and wondered what nut would hang that from their belt. But then my brain regained function and I figured it out.I’m at the time in my life when I will no longer buy “cheap” drill bits, life is too short!

works great
Drilled out a few grade 8 and 5 bolts using these, they cut well but beware of them walking

Great deal
These bits are much better than i first figured they would be, I have cobalt bits as well, but cobalt bits are brittle and break easy. These bits cut like butter and are not brittle. The only minus i would give this set is the case they come in. I like the idea they are tight and round but you can NOT read the sizes because it is Black on Black lettering. The company did help me out with this problem and my hats go off to them for doing so. I';m not sure why anyone would make a case for Bits in the $100 range and use a case that is unreadible unless your in sunlight and still have to search for it. I woudl buy again but would prefer a different indexing case.

Sharp and drill through 1” steel plate like butter
I’ve used these bits often and they show wear or damage. I’m constantly drilling through thick steel plates and stainless steel. Great for the price. Anywhere else and you will pay double or triple especially on the tool truck. Make sure you use cutting lubricate and run about 300-600 rpms to keep from burning up the bits.
