Grabbed this after seeing it on a beauty blog I follow. It is a good value I dinged it a star because nowhere in the description on Amazon does it state that you basically cannot use it on any area of your skin that is having any issues. I will list the issues below. I had to wait to even be able to use this because I often deal with acne outbreaks and it clearly states that's a no go.First things first to help others here is a list of cautions for do not use this if you are dealing with any of the following:PimplesEczemarednessitchinessskin irritationPigmentation disordersdepigmentation including white splotchesany cuts or abrasionsWith so many cautions not to use this I am not sure honestly why it is so hyped among beauty bloggers and why they don't tell their following about the disclosures of when NOT to use this. I was in a really bad outbreak of acne with redness, swelling and abrasions so I basically had to wait till I could clear my skin, to then use a product to help clear my skin (odd right). I was really torn with taking this down to a 3 star. It is a good product IF you can use it, and that is a big IF because most of us seek out these products to help remedy skin issue but this one clearly tells you not to use if you have any.It does help to absorb sebum so there is that. Yet Ic an only use it sporadically when my face is not breaking out (lately that feels like always). Is it a good value? Meh, maybe if you don't the complicated skin issues I do. I have too many to be able to use this as part of a regular skincare regime. So long run for me personally I won't order this one again. Also I am not sure why this is called a smoothing lotion? If I had to describe the product to anyone I would call it a toner honestly.From a visual standpoint it is really cool for a skincare product. Yes, I am that girl I buy things based on looks and such because I like them sometimes. I do enjoy the potion effect here its pretty cool honestly. It has a witchy feel to it that is kind of cool the sebum powder settles in the bottle and you shake it to mix before applying. Would make a good gift for someone who does not have many skin issues or someone who enjoys products with a novelty factor.
