Cats & Quilts: Adult Coloring Book

The media could not be loaded. This is a really lovely book of hand-drawn designs of cats on quilts. These are two of my favorite things. I have a beautiful picture of my favorite kitty (who has long since passed on) sitting on her favorite quilt. It is a picture that I love to look at and remember her by. Now, with this beautiful coloring book, I can color and think of her (and my other pets from the present and past) at the same time.What is outstanding and unique about this coloring book is that you are given full size coloring pages of each design as well as a 4 x 6 inch version as well. All of the designs are printed on one side of the paper (with the back left blank) though the smaller version are printed two to a page. All of the designs have blank space on all sides, so coloring into corners is not an issue with this book.The designs are printed on white non-perforated paper. The paper is medium weight and all markers and gel pens bleed through. Not a problem – I am now using a piece of chipboard under my work to keep ink from leaking through to ruin the design below. You can use heavyweight paper or cardstock but be sure to check to see how many layers you need to keep it from leaking through. The binding of this book is glued rather than sewn or stapled. There is plenty of room to cut the page out if you wish.

Cats and Quilts is awesome! There is detail if you want it, but it isnt frustrating for the more casual younger artists in my house. Perfect mix of geometry patterns and animals. I hope this author makes more like it. The picture is the first one my 12 year old did. She was occupied for hours with this book.

To start I'm just beginning on the adult picture colouring to get myself to relax and take time for myself. It all started with me getting my mom in law a colouring book and pencils for mother's day when I saw her using a adult colouring book. She was using it to help with the stress from some hard times for our family. I started to like it and how it seemed to help. So I figured give it a try with a few dollar store ones. Started loving it to slow myself down. This specific book has a high quality printer like paper as it's backing. The pictures are for beginners and advanced artist quality drawings. Fun , beautiful and gives you 4x6 pictures too. Haven't started colouring just yet,but I'm looking forward to it. I highly recommend for at lover's and any level artist.

When I saw this book I knew it was perfect for me: I love cats and have an extensive quilt collection. As a girl I loved to color and thought owning a big box of 64 crayons the ultimate. I even won a coloring contest after my father taught me to color in such a way as to blend the strokes. He also influenced my knowledge and choice of colors. As an adult, most of my coloring was done in the classroom during my 20 years as an elementary teacher. Now, as a senior lady with plenty of time to use as I please, I have a couple of new sets of colored pencils (plus a box of 64 crayons, of course) and anticipate the pleasure in filling in the sweet pictures in this book.

I was so excited to receive my Cats and Quilts coloring book because I knew I would love it. I have about 22 different coloring books and this is my favorite one. I am a cat lover and the pictures are adorable. There are larger areas to color compared to most adult books I have. You really get relaxed and focused on your picture. It dosent take long to color and my creations have turned out beautiful.

I expected this to be cheesy but it's really not. Though it's still designed for that certain demographic who appreciates cats AND quilts together, the illustrations are very well done and the book is of extremely high quality. Money well spent.

A very pretty book full of sweet natural pictures of cats. It was bought for my grandaughter who loves it
