GORE WEARMen's C3 GORE-TEX Paclite Hooded Jacket (pack of 1)

Nach einem ersten Test kann ich sagen, dass sich die Jacke auf der Haut gut anfühlt (bei vielen Hardshells empfinde ich beim Anziehen immer bereits ein "klebendes" Gefühl, das ist hier nicht so).Die Jacke ist sehr leicht, hat einen engen Schnitt passt aber noch. Ich trage darunter nur ein dünnes Merino-Shirt, ggf bei kühleren Temperaturen ein langärmliges Meriono-Shirt.Zum Hauptzweck nutze ich die Jacke zum Radfahren (18km Stadtverkehr, 45min).Beim ersten Test mit trockenem Wetter und 16 Grad Aussentemperatur bin ich kaum ins schwitzen gekommen ich hatte ein minimal feuchtes Gefühl an den Armen (hier lag die Jacke direkt auf der Haut).Wenns doch mal zu warm wurde kurz mal den Reissverschluss ein Stück öffnen dann war wieder alles ok.Ich hatte zuerst Bedenken dass mich die Kaputze (lässt sich leider nicht verstauen) stört und im Wind flattert aber auch das war kein Problem. Ich fahre aber auch mit Helm der einiges an Fahrtwind abhält.Zur Regendichtigkeit kann ich nichts sagen ich werde aber entsprechend updaten.02.10.2019: mein Update zur Regendichtigkeit: Note 645 min Fahrt im Regen, davon 15 min starker Regen, dann 15 min Niesel und am Schluss nochmal 15 min Wolkenbruchartiger Regen von allen Seiten.Darunter ein Merino-Tshirt. Aussentemperatur 13 Grad.Ergebnis: Ärmel KOMPLETT innen naß, Rücken halbwegs trocken, Brustbereich extreme Wasserflecken vor allem an den Nähten. Haare (Mütze und Helm darüber) Klatschnaß.Keine Ahnung was hier nicht stimmt, meine 20€ Regenjacke ist wesentlich dichter.

My old waterproof jacket is certainly waterproof but not breathable and riding in the wet meant you got wet. I've been on the look out for a Goretex jacket that I can pack and that I can use with a backpack for a while and this met the brief on all counts. My first ride out with it this week was a 102 mile Sportive and I rolled the jacket and put it in my cycle top back pocket. At 85 miles, the rain came so on went the jacket. The last 17 miles of the event were very wet, but I stayed dry and wasn't soaked with sweat at the end. When I took the jacket off, a quick shake and it was dry enough to put in the car as I loaded the bike away.There is no pocket on the back of this top and getting to your cycle top is a little difficult on the road with the jacket on, but I could easily fit a few gels and option bars in the chest pocket which I found very convenient.An excellent purchase.

Do cyclists need a hood? No. We wear helmets. The hood can't be folded in. You can tuck it in but it's not ideal and gradually comes untucked.My previous Gore jacket was great and folded into a pouch which can hang off the handlebars. This one doesn't.The font is too short, and the back too long.It's a warm jacket which is great.Limited choice during Covid, else would have returned.

This jacket fits (me) well and I particularly like the longer sleeves that you need when biking. It's very lightweight gortex which is ideal if you 'perspire freely' (sweat a lot)! I chose the colour to be seen on the bike. I wouldn't wear it on the fells or about town as, to me, it is clearly a bespoke biking jacket. Would I buy it again? Absolutely.

Fahre täglich 30 Minuten mit dem Fahrrad zur Arbeit. Ein stärkerer Nieselregen mit recht starkem Wind hat die Jacke nicht standhalten können. Winddicht ist sie, aber die Nässe dringt an einigen Stellen durch. Ich erwarte von so einer teuren Jacke, die vorgibt wasserdicht zu sein, sehr viel mehr!
