Whynter ARC Prefilter
Fits, works, but I agree it should come with the air conditioner. It is pricey for a plastic ring with some screen on it. I added foam at the outside vent as a pre filter "Duck Brand 1285234 Replacement Air Conditioner Foam Filter, 24-Inch x 15-Inch x 1/4-Inch, 1-Pack"($2.66 cdn). Used scissors and cut out a piece to fit the outdoor vent. This was to keep bugs out of the vent tubing.

Fine Mesh Stops the Bugs!
Although a bit expensive, the mesh is high quality, and fine enough to stop no-see-ums from entering your air conditioner - where they would be difficult to clean out.

A definite need for the cost of this machine
Great value for extra protection of the air conditioner. I'm happy this was offered by the company. It's a perfect fit for the fresh air intake hose.
