Initial impressions-The lift packs down well into the cardboard box, it will fit into an average car but is a heavy package. As I assembled this lift, my mechanical and engineering mind got the immediate impression that it won't last long if subjected to a true professional workload. My needs are domestic and don't justify the cost of a professional item, (none of which have been available for hire locally). 18 sheets of 8' x 4' plasterboard need lifting up to ceilings and this is the only way without risk of damage, strains or injury. There are many very similar products for sale under different names, I believe that many of these are the same products. The price of this lift obviously indicates that it is not a premium product. It would have been nice to read a few UK reviews, but there is only one.General build and use-I checked the welds and general build during assembly. At 1.5mm the sheet material thickness and tubing wall thickness are a little thin in some high load areas. Care should be used to avoid bending or over stressing the structure.Bearing blocks on the extendable end supports are badly positioned and fitted. Both of the supports are packed up with a smaller piece of square tubing, raising them significantly above the main cradle pad heights, one was not positioned correctly when being welded, it tilts forwards, pushing one edge slightly into the supported board. When hoisting, there are some abrupt noises suggesting that the cable doesn’t have a smooth routing, it was holding the weight without signs of failure after fitting 8 boards of 12.5mm thickness, I haven't checked to see if pulleys are used throughout the cable route.Stability-The support cradle has a lot of free play and wobble, a pivot allows tilting in 2 axis, standing cradle almost upright for loading, and tilting up and down of the ends when offering a board into position. the spring stabilised pivot slides in slots when tilting, these are cut into the standard 1.5mm material, from new, the slot is a little too wide, this and the loose spring are the source of most of the wobble, frequent use would make thisProblems experienced-After using the end tilt on two sheets without any significant force, I noticed that the bottom of the spring was pressing against and bending its lower support, further increasing slop. The cradle has a pair of stowable formed wire supports, these hold the board so an 8x4 can be loaded by a single person. The supports dig slightly into the edge of a heavy board.Excessive height of extendable end supports resulted in a downwards bow of the 8' x 4' plasterboard. A pair of telescopic drywall supports were needed to push up the sagging board centre before attaching it with screws. I found that removing these sliding supports resulted in the board laying more flat.As a base unit for light duty or domestic work, it should serve it's purpose, it's price is the same as renting a professional item for two weeks.

Not fit for purpose
Cheaply made. Cable snapped and Collapsed first time I used it. They did replace the broken part but now something else has bent on it lifting standard plaster boards.
