I used to use a printed blank calendar and just places screws in the squares, but you know one simple bump they are all scrambled. This holds them in place well, you can even use it upright if you had to.

This works great to hold screws and even label them. Magnet could be a bit stronger, and one needs a way to transport it from workbench to storage area (the magnet is limp and packaging could work as holder except for the pen bump in plastic. I really like it! Helps me remember order and placement or screws/items.

Very effective product, does exactly what it's intended to do ... I use it every day to keep my screws and parts organized with no risk of unwanted movements. If you are working on any project that has small screws/parts etc., this is a great tool to own. This is my second purchase of this product. Over time, it does deteriorate especially if it comes in contact with liquid of any kind.

Replacing a current Intel Macbook battery now requires removing a lot of tiny screws and parts. Easy to get them mixed up or worse lose them. This helped as much as promised. Write the kind of screw, and location in each magnetic grid in order, and presto - easy to find the parts, and simple. It's now a staple on my desk as im always tinkering with computer and electronic repairs. Does what it says for a great price.

I bought 2 of these for PC and RC repairs.One is taped onto my roll around 50 gallon tote. It is on the top and works as it should.My only complaint is the marker was almost dried up on 1st use. It was that way for both mag mat's.

Works as described

Pretty sure I have about 15 of these mats lying around of the few brands I've tried this is always the mat I come back to. It isn't so magnetic that you can hold the mat sideways without your screws falling off, but that is 100% a good thing. It provides enough magnetic force that the screws don't roll around on their own but immediately stick to my screwdriver so I don't have to fuss pulling the screws off by hand and then placing on my screwdriver. Every other mat I've used has had the clear coat finish wear away with normal use in a couple weeks and then stain from the marker but these have been going strong since I first got them. I do on average 5-10 devices a day so they definitely get a lot of use!

Magnet isn't super strong as pointed out in other reviews but it did keep the smartphone screws from moving around when I was replacing a battery and screen assembly. It also made for a nice smooth surface to work on. Great product and good value. Update: Have used this a few times now to repair phone screens and laptops and it works very well for holding the screws in place and keeping track of what parts go where. While I initially complained about the magnet being weak, it's actually a good balance because if it was any stronger it may be difficult to pick up screws with the magnetic screwdriver. It's strong enough to keep the tiny screws from moving around by accident but not too strong. Highly recommended.

Exactly as advertised.As you can see in the picture, the "magnetized" part of the mat works perfectly for small screws and tools, even if held vertically.The Wet Erase Marker work well and won't erase if you touch it with your fingers by mistake like a Dry Erase Marker, you need water to clean the marker out.

If you take stuff apart, you have to have one of these. I used to draw on paper, but that wasn't magnetic.
