Really helpful book!
Love this book! The author's style of writing is clear and accessible and is written with heart. Not only does she share useful, practical techniques but also personal insights and experiences which really helped me to connect with her and helped me to feel I wasn't the only one struggling with anxiety. The book starts by helping us to understand where our patterns of thinking originate from and how they impact upon us and slowly we're taken through a series of reflective exercises that help us become more aware of how we think, feel and behave and how to make changes. I really appreciated the re-caps at the end of each chapter, to help the ideas imbed in my mind and I really loved the self-care message that runs throughout the book with regular reminders to allow the reader to apply their own "emergency break" as she calls it and engage in breathing and grounding techniques. This book has really helped me to become aware of my thoughts, feelings and behaviour and has given me the confidence to start making some changes. I'd highly recommend it to anyone who wants to take control of their anxiety and their lives!

An Excellent Book.
Having always had an armchair enthusiast's interest in psychology and "self help" I was interested to read this new publication and compare it to others I have come across in the past. The book was very easy read and I finished it in 7 days however will re-read it again and spend greater time working through the simple exercises found within each Chapter. It's written in such a way that you feel you personally know Zoe by the end and all the experiences (both good and bad!) she's encountered throughout her life. It's written from the heart in a personal, easy to follow , moving yet humorous way with lots of great advise and tips . Anyone who reads this book will definitely be able to relate to at least one thing or feeling in or about their own lives.I've already found myself successfully applying her "ABC Technique" on more than one occasion already .An enjoyable and practical book which I would recommend to anyone.

An excellent, enjoyable, enlightening read which is refreshingly straightforward and honest
I've just finished reading this book and can recommend it wholeheartedly. It's a straightforward, easy, enjoyable read which follows a process through from the development of self-awareness to some really good techniques and approaches which can help to alleviate anxiety, overthinking and self doubt. With the final aim to enable the reader to become their real authentic selves, feeling calm and assertive and not buried under other people's 'shoulds'. Brilliant!
