If you have an Apple product this is the best way to drive PowerPoint or Keynote
I got tired of having to plug in a USB dongle to use a clicker - this works great, no delay no problems. BTW if you use a USB A port that is part of a multi port to connect to your USB C on your MACBook or iPad, it does not always work, this is why I tried this and it works all the time. Plus it has a great feel in your hand while you are presenting.

Great clicker for iPad presentations
Worked perfectly with my iPad and PowerPoint. Very pleased!

Looks great, but functionally totally useless.
I bought this remote a few months ago and love the industrial design. Sadly, in practicing my talk now I'm seeing the same problem another reviewer recently noted: after a few clicks, it auto advances through the rest of my presentation with no way to stop it. There's no way I can use this for a talk, and now the "return" window is closed, so essentially I'm left with a pretty piece of useless junk one week before my talk. I'd give zero stars if I could.

Works OOTB with iPad air
So this actually worked out of the box with my GFs iPad Air, specifically in the books app. She wanted a remote page turner, and this has turned out to be a perfect solution for that. Sure it’s intended for presentation use, but it’s high quality and the big buttons to turn the page are fantastic.

Works great for iPad photos—could be better
I’m keeping this Satechi R1–works great on my iPad Air 13” for viewing photos in the camera roll and it has a red laser pointer. It is Bluetooth only and pairing was easy following the supplied directions. Pressing the large RIGHT arrow button advances the photo; the smaller LEFT arrow button goes back to the previous photo. The size is good but the housing is slick—a textured finish would be nice. It comes with a USB C-to-USB C charging cable.Note that it does NOT move pages up or down as with lists, email or documents. I have another BT device that moves pages up/down but doesn’t advance/reverse photos—it would be nice to have a BT device that does both. Satechi offers a R2 for multimedia but the Up/Down buttons are for volume and does not appear to have a laser pointer. The Virtual Keyboard button brings up the keyboard for writing text messages, emails and notes, but not for adding text to photos. The Black Screen button does not appear to work on my iPad but it does add the letter “B” to text messages, emails and notes—this may be due to the iPad’s iOS. The instruction sheet says it will not work with Windows devices. These are not a problem for me.It has a small ON/OFF switch on the bottom. This may be good to save the battery but could be a problem if you leave it ON after use and it drains the battery. The instruction sheet does not say if it has a AUTO-OFF feature but does say it has up to a 6-month battery life heavily based on laser usage.IMO, the price is a little high but would be fair if it had Page Up/Down buttons and an Auto-OFF feature.

Excellent Quality and works well
This is an excellent presentation remote. The body has some weight to it and doesn't feel like cheap plastic. The buttons are the right size and intuitively placed. It pairs hassle free with Bluetooth. It's excellent if you want use PowerPoint on an iPad Pro as I do. The USB remotes won't work with an iPad without an adapter because there's no port. This was a bit pricey but I've used it now in several presentations and it was well worth the money.

Very nice option for iPad presentations
This really only makes sense imo if you regularly are giving presentations with your iPad projected somewhere. The controls are intuitive and works very reliably, wish the laser was stronger, but I seldom use it so it works well for my purposes.Works fine on powerpoint for ipad, didn’t get to use it with any other software.

Good looking dud
Bought this item a year ago. Worked great at first. Looked really nice, but then it would randomly jump multiple slides during presentations. Currently it won't pair with my MacBook. Not sure if a low charge is the issue with it connecting to the computer. At the very least, my dog likes the laser pointer.
