Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Beyond the Known Universe

Season 4 of TMNT is incredibly strong, and these beginning episodes of it are no exception, I'd give it full stars, but I do really wish these Nickelodeon DVDs had SDH subtitles available :( they do have Closed Captioning, but most DVD reader software for computers isn't compatible with CC, so as someone who's hard of hearing, it's disappointing to feel like I'm always missing out a little or that I always have to put my volume super loud to hear everything. Another problem I had was that disc one of this set doesn't work past episode 3, I'm assuming it's just a factory error, but since I was out of town when it got delivered, I didn't have a chance to check until after my return window had closed, so if you do order this, I'd highly recommend checking the disc for any problems as soon as you can.

After the events of the last battle, the Turtles take to space, still licking their wounds they are thrown into a new world, through time, while trying to save their planet from the threat of the Triceratons.They make a new ally called “Fugitoid” which kinda feels like a shady substitute for Master Splinter. You’ll learn more about the Fugitoid through this and his intentions, but for now he’s our heroes guide and mentor in these space adventures, while upgrading the heroes armor and some weapons. There’s as usual, new friends and foes to be made. Starting to also seem like with each season up until now they’ve introduced a female character for a turtle to pine over.The opening song took a drastic change during this season, something you can’t help but notice.He’s helping the Turtles for EARTH’S LAST STAND, which is where you should be heading for the next dvd pick up.

the dvd came with a big michelangelo keychain that pushed on the side of one of the walls that created a dent and the keychain pushes down on disc 1 and it made a smudge but you can clean it of with a shirt or cloth

Over the course of the years, I've bought each DVD of the 2012 TMNT series, and I must say I am NOT disappointed! This DVD especially delivered. The start of it is great and leaves genuine feelings in your heart for the team. Throughout the course of their adventures in this DVD, you'll see many momentous and heartbreaking occasions for the Turtles which will leave you taking money out of your wallet in a hurry to buy the next one in line. Overall, I feel this is a great addition to any TMNT guru's collection, or if your just a guy who enjoys watching the show, definitely buy this! The price is a steal and your kids will enjoy watching this. It's totally worth your while!

Update: There is a complete collection set that avoids this issue by not having the keychain. As such, grab that one instead of the individual sets.Original Review: Someone at Viacom decided that it was smart to include Michelangelo's head as a keychain and place it inside of a regular sized DVD case. This boneheaded choice causes a variable amount of episodes on Disc 1 to not play due to the pressure that Mikey's oversized noggin creates in the case. I say variable as my first set only had Episodes 1 and 7 be playable while my replacement only had Episodes 1, 2, and 7 be playable. Thank goodness Amazon has a return policy as this DVD set definitely deserves it.As I have the rest of the series, I'll keep on trying to get a good pressing of this set so I can have the complete series. I'll likely have to do this 7 more times as that darned key chain makes life miserable.Update: I managed to get a working DVD set on my third attempt despite the key chain being included. As such, it is possible to get a DVD set that works. An easy tell to see if the DVDs will work without flaw is to see how much the DVD case bulges out. If it bulges out greatly, Disc 1 is likely smoked. If it doesn't bulge too much, chances are the key chain is located in a lower section of the case and your first disc is flawless.If you want to verify the validity of the DVDs, use a program like MakeMKV to rip the MKV files from the disc. If you can get 7 streams with lengths around 22-23 minutes long to rip properly, then you have a working DVD.

I'm a huge fan of TMNT. I grew up with the original series and have seen every version to date. I decided to add the 2012 series to my collection. Sadly, when this DVD arrived, I heard loud noises in the box. I thought it was just a disc that had fallen out, but no, instead the case was completely shattered. Broken plastic everywhere, even inside the case, in a hundred pieces. Ordered a replacement, and while the case was okay, episode 3 was choppy and then episode 4 stopped playing completely and no other episodes would even load. I just had my husband download the missing ones for me because it's not worth the hassle of trying to get a working set. It's not even a consistent problem because some people can get certain episodes to play and others get different ones that work. I'm an avid fan but I'd prefer not having the keychains since that is the issue. Or if the keychains just HAD to be included, don't put them INSIDE the case with the disc! So yes, beware, if you get this DVD, there's a 95% chance at least the first disc won't play.

Amazing show

when you think they couldn't take the Nickelodeon TMNT series any further they prove you wrong by taking it to another level with TMNT Beyond The Known Universe. I don't want to give away the plot but if you've kept up with the Nickelodeon TMNT series you will not be disappointed & it will leave you wanting more.

i so love this series, of all the turtle series made i think this is my fav. good for all ages.
