Good Infuser / Clever Separator and it's NOT just another crock pot!
This is a simple to use infuser and comes with a basic instruction sheet. More detailed instructions are downloadable from their website (buybaqed). Basically it's a nice small crock-style infuser with an excellent butter separation and storage system. This infuser uses slow cooking, but it's not your average crock pot. It heats at a more appropriate temperature range for infusion, lower than the Low setting on most crock pots. The buybaqed website FAQs page has a detailed explanation of the three temperature control settings; Tincture, Butter and Rapid Heat. The Rapid Heat setting works great for quickly melting the butter and (optional) lecithin before infusing. But remember to turn it down to the Butter setting as soon as they've melted to prevent overheating the infusing liquid. The stoneware crock is removable and easy to clean, as are all the rest of the parts. The metallic shell is not immersible. The Baqed butter separation system works well. The stainless steel strainer/squeezer comes with 3 starter filters (hemmed Grade 50 cheesecloth squares). You can get replacements from their website or use regular cheesecloth. The rest of the package consists of a tall separation cup, a “butter basket” with lid, and a shorter storage cupAfter the infusing step, you strain/squeeze the infusion liquid into the tall separation cup, then slowly put the butter basket in and pop the lid on. Place it in a refrigerator and wait for the infused butter to rise up into the butter basket displacing the water there and harden (about 6-8 hours depending on your fridge). Next, just lift out and transfer the butter basket to the storage cup where any remaining drops of water will drain off. A bit of butter that didn't make it up into the basket might be stuck to the side of the separation cup, but is easy to collect with a rubber spatula after pouring out the waste water and milk solids. The butter comes out as a neat little cake in the butter basket, all ready to use. You can buy the separation system as a standalone product. My results have been consistently good. Recommended for a simple and relatively inexpensive route to good butter infusion. Their customer service is also quick and friendly.

This machine is the TRUTH! Costs 1/3 of the competitors and WORKS!
Wow. I never write reviews. Like, ever. This machine, which is what I’ll call it for the sake of this review, is amazing. There are more expensive competitors, yes, however the method of using a modified slow cooker with the system they made in the separation kit, makes VERY effective infused butter, as you can see from the picture attached to my review. I made 2 cups(1lbs./4 sticks)of butter, which is the maximum capacity. The minimum is 1 stick(4oz.) of butter, which is GREAT! The slow cooking method contained the smell very well. You do get some smell when you’re straining it or cooking with the infused butter, but that’s to be expected. I used decarbed plant material and had it on the butter setting for about 5.5 hours for a strong infusion. If the instructions are followed and the material is strained properly with the equipment provided, you will have excellent butter. I used plant-based butter. I’ve made infused butter on the stove and this is a VAST improvement. If you want to make infused butters or tinctures faster, than the more expensive competitors might be what you’re looking for, but for a third of the price of the other machines on the market that do the same thing, this is a phenomenal product and makes making infused butters, oils and tinctures much more affordable and accessible. If you’re looking for an affordable, easy to clean, easy to use infusion setup, this is it.

Just what I needed
The separation kit is easy to use and easy to clean. All parts are able to be placed in the dishwasher for quick clean up. The extractor sits nicely inside the plastic container allowing you to use both hands for pouring and scraping with a spatula. The extractor is also far more thorough than wringing and squeezing the cheese cloth to extract all remnants of the butter. I don’t typically use water when I infuse my butter but the kit was worth it for the metal extractor alone. I haven’t mastered making butter that isn’t green but maybe I will in time.

Don't... Just don't
Really... Just use a regular crockpot. There are no instructions and no videos on YouTube. I made budder and the thing burned my budder... It's cute though

If you’re debating, DO IT! It’s a Must Buy
I absolutely love this product, it has completely simplified my butter process. Before I used a pot on the stove for several hours, which causes the scent to permeate throughout the entire house. This is simple, easy to use and does not smell as strong. The opportunities are endless with what I can do with this product! Comes with additional storage containers which I love, so I don’t need to use ones I already have like plastic Tupperware and LOVE that it comes with it’s own filters, so I don’t have to use up my cheese cloths anymore!!!

discreet packaging, everything needed to get baking!
I'm in the middle of relocating for work so I can't use this yet, but wanted to get it bought and packed before the movers take off with everything. Opened all the boxes to inspect and everything is packaged great, the stainless steel strainer press is bigger than I expected and I think it's going to work out really well! The crockpot part of it has a much smaller footprint than other crocks I have so it should fit well in cabinets or counters and I can't wait to use it!It's shipped in a plain overpack box to hold the 3 component boxes, so if you don't live in a 420 friendly state you won't have to worry about anyone seeing the packaging or contents.

Well
I used this to make butter. It is convenient and easy to understand, but everything I made tasted like garbage and was mediocre at best. I know blanching flower first helps with flavor but I've never experienced edibles that tasted so bad and had such a small effect. So now I have a crock pot that doesn't get hot enough to cook food I guess.
