Functionality was horrible. I returned it.

I wouldn't use this in a tent.... it's pretty flimsy.

First, what I did not like about the stove. The periscope flue: excellent idea but needed to be replaced by the 2.36-inch straight pipe I bought on Amazon. Why? Because the periscope version became undone and slid down, creating a very unsafe situation if the stove is in use when this happens. Other than that, the stove is revolutionary. Just six pounds, if that. Starts up easily when using dry kindling and paper. If using it inside like I am, there was a little bit of backflow of smoke, but after I added an extra stack outside the camper this took care of the problem. Proper airflow is a must. That way when you open the door to add wood, there's very little smoke, if any, that backs up into your living space. Once you get the fire going, you do not have to worry about keeping it going. This little unit burns hot and burns wonderfully, putting off the kind of heat one will need in the winter months. The damper on the door is all you will need. Some people add another damper to the stack, but because this unit burns mostly all of the fire's secondhand gasses, the only damper needed is the one on the door. When I start the stove, I leave the damper wide open, then in a few minutes, it is ready to turn down. This stove is great for cooking on. I boiled water in less than four minutes. The higher the stack, the better the draw. DO NOT LET THE SIZE FOOL YA'. GREAT HEAT SOURCE!!!
