Excellent!
Having just upgraded from an iPhone with a Lightning port to a iPhone 15 Pro with a USB-C port, I was looking for a way to connect the new phone to the infotainment system in my 2015 Golf R. I was shocked that VW doesn’t make such a cable given that Android users have been using USB-C for years.The research I did indicated that I probably wasn’t going to be able to access my phone’s music library using the cable, but I was hoping to at least charge the phone, given that I can also play music using Bluetooth.I just received the cable this afternoon and I’m happy to report that the cable does charge my phone, even though the infotainment system part number starts with “5G” and wasn’t supposed to be compatible. I’m glad to have a short cable that neatly stows away instead of having to put an adapter into the cigarette lighter and plug in a cable there, then run it past the shifter to my phone holder.It’s not a perfect solution but good enough, and very reasonably priced.

Does it work? NO it doesnt charge it doesnt work as an aux it just doesnt work it will leave your device in a connectivity limbo. Itll show a charge icon then it wont and it happens every second it works it doesnt it works oh look at that my device is dead.Trash take this junk off here and dumpster it.

It works, but make sure know how much cable you need....
This cable isn't very long, so if you put your phone on your dashboard and your plug is in your car's arm rest, you are going to be disappointed. I thought it would work, but I find myself putting my phone in the cup holder in order to connect to it.

Does not work as Aux
It charges your IPhone but incredibly slow. It does not work as an aux for music at all. Do not recommend at all. For reference I tried it on my 2015 Q5

Charging station in older vehicle.
No longer need to use cigarette lighter adapter and bag of wires.
