Caswell-MasseyNumber Six Aftershave

Where has this been all my life? I personally love this fragrance. I just received this and I can say I am obsessed with it. Amazing to think ol' George Washington wofted this same fragrance through his olfactory senses as well. This scent is so clean and classic and pleasurable. I accidently got the aftershave, so I will be getting the cologne as soon as I write this review. I have heard they are the same (sometimes aftershave is on the watery side) I will update when I receive the other.This scent is my new all time favorite. To me it is a wonderful vetiver and slightly herbal and a smidge of powder. It does not smell like old man, which I was afraid of. It is unique and expressive, subtle and clean, intelligent and sophisticated. - am I talking about a fragrance anymore...YES. It's good, treat yourself.

I bought this with the intention of getting a dated and unique fragrance, and it is both of those things… but unfortunately it smells like my grampa’s chair from the 1970s. Kind of smells like grappa and herbs and starched shirts. To my nose, not as fresh or current smelling as 4711, the other Ye Olde Cologne for sale on here. The sensation - sting and cool and tighten - after shaving is strong and good, though.

This is a great smelling scent, my Dad wore it for years, once the shops closed down near us - he missed it!! Was so happy to find it online and it was delivered with care very quickly! This cologne scent brings back to many memories - Thank you

Xmas gift very pleased

I am not a big fan of men's colognes...most are overpowering scents and while this is an aftershave, the whole line of caswell-Massey Number Six scents are subtle and fresh and seems to suit my husband perfectly. The after shave is almost too subtle. I actually meant to buy the balm but it wasn't available to I bought this. My husband likes the feel and the fragrance.
