OXFORD UNIVERSITY PRESS Leadership: A Very Short Introduction
A**R
Leadership is complexity
It's a really great book, when we penetrate in the essence of leadership and what make a good leader
C**.
short, but insightful
You can see already on the first couple of pages that the Author is deep into the subject. Far away from the usual superficial writings on leadership, he asks the deep and real questions. Highly recommended.

I like this book for its breadth of approach
I have read a lot of books on leadership, I've had a go at it myself and I'm genuinely convinced that most of the time we don't even share a common understanding of what we're talking about when we discuss 'leadership', much less what is 'good leadership'. But if anyone comes close to offering a rounded perspective and more nuanced view than most it's Keith Grint: I like this book for its breadth of approach, its reasoned arguments and its readability. Keith is a very credible academic with a good claim to be listened to, but this book is by no means a dry, dusty tome and avoids the petty spite that some academics succumb to.If you're looking for a list of 'things you must do to be a great leader' then this won't suit you at all.If you're looking for a book that is essentially 'why the author is a great leader' then this isn't going to be much interest either. If, however, you're looking for a book that takes you through the history of thought on the subject, offers a reasoned critique of the theories and gives you some real food for thought, and perhaps some ideas you can use in the real world, then I recommend this one.

Tolle Leistung

This book lies on the fringes of my main interest of animal behaviour but the book was highly recommended by a friend who is a student of Keith GRINT. I enjoyed the style of writing and the range of examples used to emphasise the points raised for consideration. I would highly recommend this book as an enjoyable and informative read for those looking for a sound introduction to leadership.
