This is really cute. In all honesty I bought it to use as a cat toy, but I can see how it'd be a great gift for a young person. The paint job is really fun, pink & purple. Probably suitable for a kid who's about 10-12 years old.

good little rod
the rod itself is pretty nice. the reel that comes with it.....its worth is debatable. however, i put a Zebco 202 on the thing and it works like a dream. especially for my son who i bought it for.

Great quality and work great
Great quality and work great! I'm big on buying good rods and reels for my kids instead of the cheap "Spider-Man" and "frozen" rods which always break. Kids have put these rods through the ringer and they are still working great! No issues whatsoever!

Bought this to take my daughter fishing. Light weight and easy casting for small hands. Makes a nice little ultralight setup if you are in a pinch.
