Great switch, seems high quality, easy to set up
I've not used it "in anger" yet -- only for the test runs. Setup was easy & straightforward, I swapped out the 15amp breakers for 20s, no big deal.Only real issue is trying to identify the wire pairs, and route them out through the case, and then through the (provided) metal conduit. Painful to trace, would be nice if they were somehow 'bonded' and pull-apart (think the one kind of twizzlers). The metal conduit can be very sharp, a couple wires were nicked, but not enough to get through anywhere. The meters seemed a bit finicky, will have to see when i need to run it for real.

Great product!
I was an electrician/contractor for about 40 years. I installed many of these, especially right after lengthy power failures, in my neighborhood. I retired and finally bought and installed one on my own home. Reliance makes good quality products that are easy to install. Without getting in a hurry installing this system, and the associated outside generator connection plug, I can have a turn key job in 5-6 hours.

Excellent product
Excellent transfer switch and not difficult to install. Make sure to follow the instructions as you are fooling with electricity. Very high quality.

Good and safe device
Very easy to install but the only bad thing is the label of each wire from A-L; the labels are blurry

Includes all the hardware
Before buying this, I watched a YouTube video on how to install a Reliant transfer switch. I like the fact that it includes all the necessary hardware (with the exception of the inlet power cord and receptacle and wire nuts). The circuit breakers appear to be robust. I also like the built-in power meters. The directions were easy to follow, though I recommend that you also watch a video.

quality product with fast shipping
Fast shipping. I ordered this late on Thursday evening and it was delivered on the next Sunday. I was expecting at least a week or more shipping as the vendor is in California but they have warehouses across the US.I bought the indoor model so weatherproofing wasn't a big deal. This transfer box uses conventional circuit breakers and it has a list of the compatible replacements on the cover. I replaced all the 15 amp breakers with 20 amp ones to make sure I had a rating as high as my main panel. The only tough part of installation was getting the wires into my panel box because the harness is pretty stiff with 12 wires to get into the 1 inch conduit opening. Plus I shortened the provided metal conduit in order to make it fit in my mounting area. Most of the circuit lines had the appropriate letter, A-J, marked on both the red and black wires except about four that had the line marked once on the end. I added wire tag markings on those 4 just in case it ever had to be removed. Today I got to use it during our big national deep freeze snow storm and I like the two load meters.Reliance Controls has a very good you tube channel with clear and simple installation instruction videos which added to my confidence in installation. I had installed a smaller transfer switch about 15 yeas ago and reviewing the videos assured me of a proper and safe installation. A clean professional looking product I highly recommend.

Very Nice Unit
The transfer switch seems to be well made and functions as described, it's very easy to operate when switching to generator power. The two meters on the panel are very helpful as you can watch the load that you are putting on your generator in real time. It is also useful for testing your generator while the power is still on with simply flipping the switches. We were able to connect the transfer switch directly to the main panel with a connector after mounting to wall which eliminated using the external flexible conduit, This made a neat installation. I would recommend purchasing wire identification stickers so circuits are easily identified in the main panel. I would purchase again

Great way to connect a portable generator
Purchased this to install in my unfinished basement next to the main panel to connect an EcoFlow Delta to my home and also allow me to connect a gas generator if desired. EcoFlow sells a six circuit version also made by Reliance with their brand however this ten circuit panel allows more flexibility. Reliance markets this as a DIY project if you’re comfortable working with electricity. They also have excellent installation videos on YouTube. I chose to have it professionally installed. It’s fairly heavy, and took both installers to mount blocking between two studs, hold and measure, and run the conduit. I’m glad I didn’t attempt it myself. They were impressed with the design, all wires are adequate length and labeled which made the actual connection to the main panel straightforward especially for a pro. They were done in two hours.I purchased a 30A inlet plug also here on Amazon which is mounts in the front. Also, got a 30A to 15A conversion plug so I can connect the EcoFlow, or alternatively run the. 30A cord from my gas generator outside if needed. My main shutoff is outside the house near the meter, and my panel is full, so adding another main shutoff in the basement with an interlock was actually more expensive as a subpanel would have been needed.
