This has been a surprisingly sturdy, easy to use, effective dustpan. Dust doesn't slip underneath the lip and it's working as smooth as the day I got it six years ago. I definitely recommend this product.

I ordered this dust pan after getting burned on another dustpan I purchased from Impact Products. Janico Inc. had pictures on Amazon that made it clear that it was designed correctly. This device has a locking tray that releases when the handle is pushed down. That way the tray can be filled and dumped without the pan releasing prematurely. The release is simply to allow for storage flat against the wall if hung on a hook or a nail.The Impact Products dustpan has a latch which barely holds the pan in place which causes it to release prematurely. It is so cheaply made that the latching system will simply stop working after a few months use.

You can't sweep all of the trash on the dustpan. It leaves a thin line of dirt.

UPDATE TO 5 STARI have had this a while nowThe longer I use it, the better I like it.It is a tool to make house cleaning easierWorks well. No problem for me to use with my bad back and my cleaning lady loves it.Not that exciting in my mind though except that I have grown to depend on it and often use it instead of a grabber tool to pick up things.Bought a second one to take to the pistol range to clean up my brassThe clip to hold a small broom I bought is great for the range

I really wanted to like this dustpan. I must have since I was willing to fork out over $30.00 each for two of them. After a couple of months of daily usage around the home. It started to become a big drag locking it into place just to use it. Eventually, the handle unit that has the tab that locks the handle in place cracked on the part that has the lock tab and then just completely failed and now can't even keep the handle upright even if you tried locking it into place which you can't because that part is now cracked in half. The idea of it is great, but the execution of it and the material used to make it just cannot stand up to the always needing to click it locked just tp ise the dustpan. I wonder if there is a replacement handle assembly I can just buy and not have to buy another dustpan. i cannot recommend this, Alfred Bie

I have back pain that is aggravated when I would sweep and bend over for dust pan. I’ve had one for inside now for several years and just got another for outside. The best dust pan to save your back!

Love it! Has a great design with a very close to ground to accept the sweepings, even the fine ones. Also like the broom combs since I have long dog hair that sticks in the broom. My BACK Loves this too.
