I priced a scale at the USPS. It was $25. I got this for $10. It is extremely accurate. Looks expensive and has a nice weight to it. Very good buy. I only use it to weigh my letters because I had been going over an ounce and being charged extra postage. With the promised increase in postage, it was time I check them out so recipient's didn't have to pay. For this purpose, it is excellent.

First! Ok now that I got that out of the way...I searched far and wide for a well priced scale that could read in 0.1 g accuracy. I am happy I took the chance with this one because it works great.First off, this thing has got weight. I dont know if that necessarily means it is well made but it sure feels like it.It also comes with 2 covers, one for the actual platform and one that covers the whole scale. These are solid thick plastic covers and was a pleasant surprise.I think the accuracy is good, i do not have any standards to check with but i put a dollar on there to check... Seems to be correct.For the price, you really cant beat it. Ive used it almost daily (for coffee stuffs) since i got it and have had no qualms about it.

I bought this specifically for V 60 Pour overs and Aeropress, and I chose Weighmax because I have one of their 5lb postal scales that's still working well after a decade of use. The tiny footprint is perfect for our small kitchen and is easy to store. 3,000g max is more than ample weight capacity to hold brewing gear, coffee grounds, water, pourer, etc. and 0.1g is perfect for precise for dosing. I was Initially concerned about the automatic shut off timer, as there is no way to disable it, but my concerns were unfounded, the scale won’t turn off over the course of a 3:00-4:00min brew time as long as weight is continually added (eg, when pouring water) which resets the timer.A few minor cons but for this price point and small size its not really an issue: its not waterproof nor heat resistant which I can simply work around by using a cork coaster under my pourer and by being careful to keep counter area dry. A timer would be a nice feature, but again for such a low price it’s not a big deal to use timer on my iPhone.

Nothing not to like! Compact and so very easy to use! Accurate and lightweight. Weighs my food and packages so easily! Great price and beautiful design.

I bought this to weigh small amounts of dry ingredients for making pottery glazes - and it's pretty much useless for that. Placed a small cup on the scale & pressed tare to zero it. Slowly added dry powder, expecting scale to gradually increment 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, etc. It did not. Was trying to weigh 3.0g... When it got to 2.8g, I added few grains more, and it jumped to 3.1. Used a small spoon to remove a little more than I had just added - and it stayed at 3.1. Picked up the cup, and set it back down - and it read 2.8g. Picked up cup & placed back on scale again and it read 3.0 One more time, and jumped to 3.3. repeated several times, making sure I placed cup in center each time - and each time it varied as much as 0.3g from the previous reading.Summary: Variation of +/- 0.3g when trying to weigh a 3g sample is a margin of error of +/- 10% - which renders it completely unusable for its intended purpose.

I like the quality of this postage scale…. plus its accuracy, easy to use, saved me from having to stand in line at the post office for my mailing envelope with Birthday cards and metal book markers…of which I had no idea how much postage to use. With this scale I was able adequately use correct postage…thank you for a high quality product so reasonably priced!

The scale is very durable and heavy. I use it as a postal scale and so far I have had no problems. There are also many different functions on the scale (oz, grams, ct, dwt, and more) so you could use this scale for more than just for shipping stuff :)Batteries are also included which is great.Overall, this is a good scale to use if you want to weigh small items.----------------------------12-23-16 Edit: my scale partially broke (wouldnt turn on when i pressed the button) and i contacted Weighmax directly since it was too late to return on amazon. Fortunately, Weighmax was nice enough to send me a replacement free of charge.
