Read, Learn and get Energized!
It was a long and impatient year waiting for the anticipated release of Michael Vey: Storm of Lightning, the fifth installment in Richard Paul Evans’ amazing Michael Vey series. This book did not disappoint. Book four “The Hunt for Jade Dragon”, left readers with unrelenting curiosity. What would the Electroclan find when they returned home to the U.S.?Would Admiral-General Hatch continue his merciless march to rule the world’s electricity?Where would the next journey take the Electroclan?Who the heck IS “The Voice”?Some of these are answered in this next fun and exciting chapter of the Michael Vey saga with a few surprises along the way.Once again, Richard Paul Evans amazing imagination creates a riveting story that continues to engage readers of any age. His use of startling details, real world geography and challenging vocabulary along with interwoven tidbits of history and insights make all of the books in this MV series impossible to put down. The hardest part of reading them is the wait for the next one! I highly recommend this book to everyone! Zappy Reading!!

This is a great series!!!!!!!
Michael vey 5 is a great book because it has lots of action, and lots of calm parts. I like how there is lots of action and adventure in this series of books. I also like how these books are mainly over 200 pages each.If I could change one thing it would be how many people are in the electroclan but this is one of my favorite series I have read in my life.

Michael Vey is a delightful story with a gift of knowledge to the reader.
Michael Vey series of 7 books is written with the gift to teens as well as adults. The gift is the story written in such a way so the reader learns how to make good choices in life. Teens love to read this story. So if you want to encourage your child to read I recommend this series. I am a senior person and each book that comes out in print has you captivated and you cannot put it down. You want to know more about their character. In the process you receive this gift of knowledge that educates you to make better choices as you go about life. Richard Paul Evans is a good story teller. This is the 5th in print out of 7 books. Enjoy the read. You will be glued to the story until the end of each book.

Michael Vey 5: Storm of Lightning
While I was planning a cross country trip by car with my grandson I was looking for some books on cd that would be appropriate for my 16 year old grandson. Michael Vey was recommended and we were not disappointed. I had borrowed the other 4 from our library but realized while planning our trip back we would be one book short so I ordered Michael Vey 5: Storm of Lightning and it came quickly and was as advertised. My grandson and myself enjoyed the whole series which I am presently completing (7 books total).

Excellent series
I have enjoyed every book in this series, with the exception of book two which almost caused me to lose my cookies. I'm still trying to decide if I want to recommend this series to my twelve year old grandson. Book two is the only cause of my hesitation. Otherwise it's a great series that is right up my grandson's alley. It would rank right up there with the Harry Potter series. Parents and or grandparents may want to read this series before making their own decision on whether to encourage their children to read it. I especially enjoyed the fact that Mr. Evans didn't use half of succeeding books to replay previous books. He keeps each book moving with fast action, suspense, and unique plots. There's never the feeling that you've read this plot before. I'm looking forward to book six.

A Great Book to Prepare Us for the Climax
Michael Vey: Storm of Lightning, in my personal opinion, was one of the weakest books in the series. That is not to say that I did not enjoy the book. It was an awesome addition to the series; however, it felt more like a transition book preparing readers for the climax coming in the next two.Nothing incredibly exciting happened with the Electroclan (there were a few moments of tension and excitement, but it was mostly them traveling and recovering from rescuing Jade Dragon in the last book). The real story development comes from Hatch, his kids, and the Elgen in general. A lot happened in their story that will keep readers on the edge of their seat.Overall, while this book is called "Storm of Lightning", it is actually the the calm before the storm.Looking forward to the next book!

Great book in a great series
Great book in a great series. However I have serious issues with Richard Paul Evens that I have to wait another year to find out what happens 2 seconds after the last words of the book. Thanks Richard you sure know how to keep people hanging.

Teen angst
I am a bit baffled by this book. I felt the writers portrayal of his characters is a bit off. I do understand they are supposed to be teens put in an extreme situation but the angst and drama seems a bit forced. I do think the book picked up a bit by the end thou
