This hat far exceeds my expectations. This is a quality felt top hat, not a toy or cheap fancy dress party decoration.I have a huge noggin', usually requiring a 7 7/8 size hat for a comfortable fit and I had to use both included adhesive hat size reducers that came with this hat to keep it from sliding down over my ears. Perfect comfortable fit now and looks great. 😊 Good quality felt, very stiff formed brim. Comes in a nice hatbox, which amazon thoughtfully placed inside a shipping box. Arrived in flawless condition. Do not over-think purchasing this hat, just buy it. Good quality.

Bought this for my son, who wanted a top hat to wear to his Senior Night concert at school. It shipped quickly, and arrived the DAY of the concert! I ordered a medium for him and maybe should have ordered a large - his head was bigger than I thought! I steamed it and softened it up a bit and he stretched it out as best as he could and it fit just right - by the end of the night, he said it fit his head perfectly. He received tons of compliments on the hat and was thrilled with the purchase! Great quality and great looking hat.

I was cast in the role of "The Chairman" in The Mystery of Edwin Drood and our costumer did amazing work, creating the perfect "Victorian" look - however, we didn't have the proper hat for my character. And without fail, Amazon and this vendor came through. The hat arrived on time, in great condition and it was absolutely perfect for the role and it fit properly. I did remove the feather since it was not needed!My biggest suggestion (for anyone not used to wearing a hat) is to CAREFULLY MEASURE your hat size and when it doubt, go up to the next size since you can always add some padding. Better to be bigger than look like your head won't fit!

The product definitely is good quality and looks nice. It didn't have its own box, but it came well protected in shipment. The XL was a bit too small for my head though and doesn't quite fit properly.

Bought this for my husband to wear for an event. It was a great hit! Very high quality. True to size and fit well. Definitely seemed like it was more expensive than it actually was. Highly recommend.

I bought this for my son. We have notoriously small heads in the family, so I measured and got what was marked as s-m. It's still just a little big for him, huge on his sister, but a little padding in the band does wonders.Well packaged, well made, nicely felted and formed. My son has a 60 year old wool felted bowler, and I would put this on par with that quality. It's perfect for Steampunk, or just if you're the kind of person who wears what you like. It's not quite opera quality, imo. You almost need silk for that.I may end up buying one for myself.

Bought a small, but the hat was still to large(I am a 5' 10" average size male, granted my head is not large). Even if it fit, the hat was a bit unwieldy in it's overall size. If you are looking for a whimsical hat, this may be what you are looking for, but if not, it ends up looking cartoonish. I did seem to be of good quality, but I'm not sure I would recommend it a friend.
