******UPDATE *****After the review the seller contacted me and offered a free sample of the belt. This time it didn't strongly smelled like paint. So that leads me to believe the one I received first was faulty. I've posted some pictures for people to have a look before buying. I think is real leather. It feels nice to the touch. Nice, not shiny black colour. More like vintage black. It does have like wrinkles (see photos) but that doesn't bother me. Overall I like the belt and will be wearing it.
