Lights up my map lights with a nice bright white light. Huge improvement over the old yellow bulbs. I see some complaints about them being loose in the socket, but I didn't have that problem. They fit nice and tight. The shape was perfect for my application. There are equal number of LED chips on both sides of the rounded portion. Hoping these last a long time. Will upgrade to 5 stars if they do.Edit: Still working 3 years later, so upgrading to 5 stars as promised.

I have auxiliary turn-signals on rear of my Suzuki DL1000 Jesse Bags which held dual #194 push-in bulbs. The light they gave off was anemic, even after placing shiny aluminum foil reflector behind them, which was a 100% improvement, but still not enough for me. I put a pair of THESE in each turn signal and WOW! THEY'RE REALLY BRIGHT NOW! They take up the same room as the #194 bulbs. These are much less costly per light if you order the 10-pack. I feel that the subsequent Hyper-Flashing makes me even more visible, but you can install a Flasher Relay to return it to OEM flash frequency if you wish, or if you get a code that says you have a burnt bulb.

I bought these back in 2016 and never got around to installing them until about a month ago!These little guys are bright!!!!! extremely low profile but completely change the look of the car.The guys over at ALLA lighting have it down, I not only have these but their 9003 LED headlight, 7440 reverse lights and the DE3175 dome light. Honestly the quality and performance of their bulbs are hands down the best on the market right now. I have yet to be let down by this company.

I did not use them in a car but for a light up sign.I wanted bright, and hell yes! they are bright and a ghostly cool 5000k white.My sign is running off 12 volt AC (not DC) and these bulbs work well but flicker like old-timey fluorescent lights [I assume at the 60hz of the AC line], and I like it.The color temperature is a bit icy for my taste, and the flicker all looks slight trashy for my sign, but I have to say that it works both aesthetically and mechanically. The ultra-fast strobe effect actually gives the sign presence.If they hold up to use I will be impressed and increase to five stars -- if these are as well made as the manufacturer's confidence in them implies, they may well impress, and if not it is on me to replace the transformer to DC.

My girlfriend and I both have the latest generation VW Beetle. She has the convertible and I have the R Line. These LED Bulb replacements are AWESOME! The VW beetle doesn't have traditional dome lighting, they only have 2 Map Lights in the front near the windshield, and that's it. The oem bulbs are definitely NOT bright enough. These bulbs make a world of difference. Plus the Pure white light is very pleasing to the eye.I highly recommend these LED Bulb replacements!Note: The installation process for the VW Beetle is different between the Coupe & convertible. Not sure about the error free angle on these - they cause errors in my 2009 Audi A8L. The first one that I swapped in only worked for a few minutes, but that was not a problem because there are four. I swapped in the next light, started up, the light works great and looks great, but I get intermittent errors. I always get an error when the lights turn on, then occasionally while I drive down the road the error will clear and then fire again. Consequently you get nagged every few minutes to be told that it is burned out due to the low voltage draw and apparent lack of appropriate resistors to make it appear to be a 5 watt incandescent.

I gave a 3 star overall because half of the lights either didn’t work or were the wrong ones than were advertised to fit my car. I tried my first one and it worked. The second one was used for the same purpose but on the passenger side. It did not come on. Used a 3rd one for this and it worked. Used my fourth and final one and it did not work for my glove compartment as it said it would for my VW Jetta Mk6. I do hope these last (the ones that worked).

I measured the current draw with a 12-volt DC source to be .158 amps, so these bulbs appear to be about a 2.9-3.0 watt array of LEDs. The build quality appears to good, and the paddle shape should help in dissipating the waste heat (I hope!). I installed two of these as front parking lights in my Prius. Subjectively , they are brighter and more whitish in color compared to the slight bluish tint of the cheap LEDs I had previously installed (which tested out to be less than 1 watt) , but they would probably also be more white than the yellowish tinge of the original incandescent bulbs that my Prius came with.
