Works great with my Samsung Smart TV (2012). I got a used tv and it didnt have the remote. It really is ....put batteries in and works.

I have a Samsung Smart TV. I managed to break the little mousepad remote my TV came with. After some research I found out just how expensive they are. So I made do with a wireless keyboard for a while. One evening I realized that there must be a better way. So I started looking for a universal remote to replace the keyboard as well as the original remote (needed that one to turn on and off the TV). Its amazing what one gets used to instead of researching an item properly. I found this remote .. I remember those "universal remotes" from 20 years ago. So naturally I didn't hold my breath. Oh wow. Oh my!! Why did I not look for this earlier?? How did Universal Remotes become so easy to use?!! Just put in batteries & start using it. It doesn't get easier than that. I am wowed. There is no Programming no nothing. I don't know why I ever bothered with such a complicated mess before, thinking: that's just how it is. Trust me its not. Buy this remote and your life will be so much better. Okay so maybe not your life. But your TV time will be. What a value to get my sanity back!! I can't Thank you guys enough for selling this product.

Worked as intended straight out of the box, no programming needed, for a cheap replacement remote you can't go wrong. --All buttons work as they should, it will have extra buttons that may not be needed but are easy to overlook. --Some people may complain about how "cheap" this remote feels compared to the OEM model but I find that it provides a better grip overall and less likely to slip out of fingers. It does have slightly sharp edges that will get worn down. ---However this is a knock off of the original Samsung remote and as such it doesn't have the same features, such as..... The backlight for the entire keyboard is missing, only channel/volume rockers light up. The IR blaster doesn't seem to be as bright(?) as the OEM so it won't work unless it's pointed directly at the TV. (my original remote would control the TV even pointed behind me at a pillow, this one doesn't) --I have noticed occasional lag between sending the input signal from the remote to the TV and the TV actually responding, usually less than a second. *May be related to using the supplied super cheap batteries* If you just need a quick and cheap replacement this will work, it's definitely not perfect but for the price, worth it.

After purchasing the recommended replacement control for our 60 inch Samsung smart tv (UN60ES6011F), driving it home and attempting to get it to function— the only buttons that worked were the on/off, volume, and Hub—I returned it the next day. The young man who sold it to me questioned that it didn’t automatically link and function properly. I said I was returning it and was getting one for under $10 from Amazon. Ordered this Coolux from Amazon on the 18th of August and it arrived in the 19th. I inserted 2AAA batteries, turned on the tv, tried the Hub, the volume buttons, the exit button, the forward/back/pause and pause buttons and they’re all functioning. The channel function doesn’t appear to be working, but I’ll try to fix that. I can do without it because we usually have to use the cable remote anyway. I was getting the replacement for the Hub function since my granddaughter lost our remote. And we are watching lots of streaming during this pandemic. But like a sock in the dryer, it’s nowhere to be found! I highly recommend this Coolux and will order a second backup within a few days!

This remote is fantastic!!! I have an older model Samsung HDTV probably 8 years old, and this worked right out of the box!! ECSTATIC. On my particular TV, there is a slight two-3 second delay from POWER ON to the TV bleeping that it is on. I'm sure this varies by model perhaps, and I don't consider it a flaw. I mention it because when it did not come on instantaneously I thought something wasn't working (like my new batteries). Someone else might come on here and say the remote was broken on receipt. (Reviews are always subjective and only a piece of the story) It looks like what you would get from the dealer, in my opinion, this does not look or feel like a cheap replacement. I read a few reviews about overheating, and am glad I ignored them as ... 'consider the source' because unless I put a. the wrong type of batteries in, or bad batteries in, or misused it somehow, my remote is cold, all of the time, it never ever feels remotely warm ever. Also, consider where a person is purchasing from, Amazon? or another retailer then comes here to complain or report problems. Those problems belong on that retailer's site, or the manufacturers' site, in my opinion. Amazon has one of THE BEST RETURN policies out there if you don't like a purchase or something doesn't work send it back, you'll have your credit shortly after your UPS driver leaves the drive, pretty close. Anyone complaining he or she got stuck w anything or couldn't return something either kept it over 30 days or didn't purchase from Amazon.

I have 2 Samsung TVs and I was buying this for the bigger downstairs TV. There's pros and cons to no setup, awesome when it works and completely sucks when it doesnt. For the TV it was intended for, every button would just power off/on the TV and there wasnt much I could do in form of troubleshooting. I then went upstairs and it instantly worked for that TV for all the buttons I needed (volume, power, source/input, channels, etc). I got lucky that my upstairs original TV remote worked for my downstairs TV or I would've had to send it back. In my case, I'm good to go but there must be other Samsungs it doesnt work for as well. The remote itself seems fine - very light so not sure how it would hold up against drops on hard surfaces but for how we use remotes it's great buy for price.

Received this Samsung compatible remote. Put in batteries and it worked immediately! No set-up, no programming...just worked perfectly! Thank you for the easiest remote ever!!!

This remote is outstanding and is working great with Samsung 55" NU6900 Series on the UN55NU6900BXZA model. It's better than the original remote which came with the TV. Buttons on the remote are of good size and easy to find and press. Plug and Play: No need of setting up or installing any software, just put the batteries and start using them right away, which is very convenient. Yes, it's that simple. Quite happy with the purchase and I definitely recommend this, if you are looking for one.
