My previous tail died after this last Ren Faire, and I had to go looking for a new one that would arrive in time for the next convention I'm going to. I saw a lot of decent reviews for this one and decided to give it a shot. The shipping was indeed fast, but unfortunately I was left disappointed in what I received.The reviews did say it would be tightly packed, and that I just needed to shake it out upside-down and fluff it a bit, which I did. Even after doing so, it became clear that it was quite a BIT shorter than advertised. (They said around 17", longer or shorter. But when they say "longer or shorter" one would ASSUME that means within an inch or maybe two of the advertised length. Not 3 OR MORE inches shorter.)Its also very matted in places to the point where fluffing isn't doing the trick, and the tip of the tail is basically missing. The tip of the leather is there, but it is quite bald, and sticking out.Was definitely NOT worth it.

Wrong color. Smaller than average in size. Only one we’ve ever been disappointed by.

It's a good tail, don't get me wrong, but it also has its flaws. It was smaller then I thought it would be and no where near the color I ordered. It was supposed to be brown and black and the tail I got is white, cream, and gray. The tail is soft and flexible and good for tail wags! The clip doesn't want to stay on my pants very well sadly. The end of the tail is also kinda crimped. There's also these metal things? And the tail seems to be splitting slightly, as seen in the photo. I'm kinda worried about that. The tail itself is nice, just not the color or size I thought it would be. It doesn't really have a smell unless you stick your face in it, lol, but then it smells kinda weird. Not bad, though. Just kinda worried it might fall apart as I wear it. Shipped pretty fast though! Ordered on May 21st and it came May 26th

People keep thinking it's a raccoon tail cause of the colors on it. When you feel it it's actually feels like a bunch of different pieces of a tail sewn together to make this tail, so makes sense for the confusion . Nonetheless it's still beautiful and bushy!! Not as soft as other fox tails, but no matter. I've had the two tails I ordered from Amazon since October 2021 no issues at all with them.
