I love it

First things first: this box is a pain to assemble. It's worth it okay, it's so worth it, but dear god is it annoying. The base is sturdy and can bear the weight of a frosted cake.The main part of the box, is double lined with protective film. If it looks hazy or scratched, it's just the plastic wrap! I peeled off the inside layer (wear gloves! the last thing you want is to step back after fighting hell itself to see it smudged with fingertips), placed it around the cake, and then peeled the outer film rather than both at once.The lid.........the lid is probably the biggest nuisance to assemble. Which says something considering the acrylic.Second thing: It is nearly impossible to fit this box around a 6 inch cake without cutting into the frosting. This box is better suited for a 4inch cake or some other small dessert.That said, you CAN fit a 6 inch cake in this. As long as the cake is frosting on a 6 inch cake board, transfered onto the box base, and THEN you can pipe your bottom border. Also note not all of your bottom border will survive. You will have to scrape off any overlap. The acrylic is a VERY tight fit.After several failed attempts cutting into my test cake (the acrylic is very,, flimsy? And won't hold it's shape. This isn't stiff plastic. It will concave and make it impossible to get over your cake) I actually cut along one of the folds so I could wrap it AROUND my cake and then secure it with washi tape for easy removal.It seemed like the best solution, to avoid both the headache of trying to fit it over the cake and to prevent the heartache of the cake recipient when removing the box would inevitably scrape the cake on the way up. I can't way I would ever purchase these nightmares again. I probably will in a bigger size.But god do they look beautiful and provided such elegant presentation for my mothers day cakes. I might do it again. Might.

Nice sturdy box

The boxes are beautiful.However they were delivered in a bag and therefore the cardboard base was defected and did not sit flat. It curved and caused issues with boxing and damaged the final cake design.

Upon assembling the box when you fold over the flaps part of the lid that you need separates at the perforations and falls off. I found them very cheaply made. Once that falls off or separates from the perforations you can no longer use the lid. It's even hard to apply the clear cover around the cake without hitting the cake. The clear cover bows in and gets in the way. I do not recommend.
