This is my first Amazon review, but I thought this book was worth speaking of. I bought this book with the recommendation of a coulegue. It is an in depth, outline type book that has a ton of information inside.This book does not have any practice questions, but it delivers the information you need for the FP-C exam. The text is an outstanding study prep, if you have a background in EMS, critical care or 911, much will be a refresher to you. But it consolidated this info into important details/sections that you will find helpful. I am an experienced 911 firefighter/paramedic and relitivly new to rotor wing EMS, and I still learned a lot from this book, especially medications that my flight service does not use, and I was not familiar with.Bottom line: this is the only material I used to study for FP-C, and I passed on the first attempt today. Give yourself plenty of time to go through the material, and you will have a good shot at passing.

I own plenty of cct books sold on amazon, but I'm the guy who likes an instructor telling me in detail how things work and why. Since I didn't not have such a luxury on the reservation where I am based out of. I had to learn ways to digest all the ways of being a critical care paramedic. One that truly helped me was this book. If simplified all the information I learned on ABG, labs, acid base balance, medical emergencies, trauma, pediatrics and flight physiology. He taught me in a very dumb form that Iam use to. Not that I'm a dumb guy but sometimes we have to learn things in a dumb way to understand our profession. Thank you kyle, and to all who just need that very simple way to understand being a flight paramedic this book is for you!

This book is a must have for anyone studying to take the FP-C!! It was foundational in me having a first time pass on the FP-C exam with an 87%. This is the essentials of what you need to know and helps you keep it to the important stuff. I would suggest reading 1 section a day and rereading the book until you know and understand every page of it and then do self tests to gauge your knowledge. This is not all inclusive for everything you need to know, but its a good foundation and probably the most important of all the prep books.Ryan W. NRP, CCEMTP, FP-C

Not a long book but to the point about what you need to know for your FP-C test. I recommend using this as a quick refresher as it covers all the main points.
