Terrific!
This is such a flexible little device. I use it as the primary boot device for my Mac as its internal SSD is only 128GB. Connected via a Thunderbolt 3 cable, it works flawlessly and has done for a long, long time. With so many output ports it'd always be a great addition to any computer, desktop or laptop. It also works with my iPad Pro too - bonus!

This is great at the sale price, it was about £189.99? when I got it.
There is one big issue sometimes the NVME SSD inside it doesn’t show up on the computer which is weird and not good at all.

It does not work
Product does not work at all, and WD will not send me a new one, they can only send a refurbished one, while I paid full price.Product does NOT work at all, do not buy!

So this was quite good, however I ended up returning it.
This thing had quite a decent amount of ports and even an SSD NVME slot within the unit itself. However I ended up returning it because when I looked at the competition, I found that it was grossly overpriced for what it is.I had no issues with the connection speeds and stuff like that, but it was also missing necessities like HDMI ports, Mini Display port. It also seemed to keep having connectivity issues with my Laptop where it would just disconnect for a while for no reason. I wasn't happy with the product I received for £199 to be honest, especially when I can get much cheaper USB C docks for my laptop with way more ports and connectivity. Also, the RGB was a nice addition, but because of the way it was angled to the ground, you can hardly see it reflecting off the table. Also, it's such a hassle to swap out the NVME SSD as you have to unscrew all of those screws out first

Good but very hot even without a drive
A great little hub for docking my laptop, I can't complain about performance or price. However I can't why out why it is always so hot. I have the driveless version and it's always hot like a radiator even when the computer is asleep. I keep disconnecting when not using to try and save energy.

Everything was missing
Ordered it new and when it arrived, everything but the EU plug was missing. Very clearly a return which is misleading! I’d hoped this would be able to solve my docking problems with my M1 MacBook.

Near native-speeds, no bus-power though.
A great package, which offers extremely fast NVMe SSD access (3000MB/sec+ - enough to transfer ~180GB in a minute or so). The only catch is it isn't bus-powered which means it lacks the portability of some other NVMe Thunderbolt 3 enclosures.

stank like a blown capacitor when box opened
I think I received a prior returned item. The unit stank of chemicals and wouldn't provide 87 watts for my MacBook. Tested on both a 16" 2019 MacBook pro i9 and a 2020 13 inch MacBook pro M1. Neither drew power or registered a connection over the 87 watt thunderbolt connection.
