Jeeves and the Leap of Faith

A successsful leap indeed
The greatest compliment I can pay to Ben Schott's latest Jeeves book is that for many pages one forgets that this is not written by PG himself. The context and progress of the plot are somewhat brave, but Schott is developing, not just maintaining, the legacy of the Master. Here's to the next time....(END)

More Fun with Jeeves and Wooster
It's a challenge to have the second book live up to the bar set by a terrific first book but Jeeves and the Leap of Faith clears that bar easily. More witty wordplay? Check. More engagement entanglements? Check. Another improbably (and unforgettable) chase scene? Check. Another Junior Ganymede adventure? Check. There are too many terrific touches to continue but this book, like the first, is a must for fans of P. G. Wodehouse, Ben Schott or if you've only read the first book (Jeeves and the King of Clubs). It's fun, it's breezy and keeping track of the names, ever shifting engagements, motives and even wallpaper choices is a lot of fun. There's a hint of more to come (absolutely!) and I eagerly await that announcement. Highly recommended

Review
It was a great book that tied up some lose ends that PG Wodehouse left. A wonderful read. Also he book was delivered very quickly and efficiently and in excellent condition.

It is a leap of faith indeed - but a happy one!
I am a long-standing Wodehouse fan so anyone who tries to imitate does raise eyebrows. I bought both the Ben Schott books after much agonising and have been pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed them; they are definitely not 'original' but had enough to keep me engaged, though Bertie's pointedly vacuous nature does start grinding after a bit.
